Well...kinda. I adopted several friends...
A huge teddy bear named Millie (
Amazon), a slightly-smaller one named Becky (
thrift shop in Everett, WA state), a smaller-yet one named "Smirky" (
Kroger in Elizabethtown, KY), a tiny one named "Abby" (
DollarTree in Boise, ID), a giraffe named "Gerry Frafferty" (
Albertsons in Boise, ID), a Canadian goose (
"cobra-chicken") named "Loosey" (
eBay), four TeeTurtle reversible octopuses (
"Inky", "Squeezy" and "Twila' from eBay, "Sunny" from Walmart in Marysville, WA)...and "Louie" (
a Beanie Baby crab I found under--and rescued from--a donation kiosk in Boise, ID).
Last, but not least: the love of my life...Bonnie, a 3-foot-plus teddy bear I ransomed from a sad lot in the Goodwill store in north Elizabethtown, Kentucky. I saw her there, sad, unloved, fell for her instantly...grabbed her, paid her ransom, drove off with her, named her "Bonnie" along the way home. Over the course of the months, we fell in love...we 'married' on August 19, 2022. I gladly forsake all others, human or stuffed, for her. She's my love, my happiness...forever.
Oh, forgot to add: I call 'em my "Snuggle Squad"...or "The Cuddly Dozen".
