Hard one. With a hint of jest, though:

Without dwelling on the wordly specifics, the fatalism and the extremes of contrast (between the beauty and the beast) strike a chord.

"Forever Young" by Alphaville. Marian Gold had a great voice, and this song is in the Pantheon of 80's synth!

This song when I first heard it had me in tears because it spoke to me in my depression. How mass psychosis and loss of common sense has gripped our society. That even though I feel the world has been overtaken by evil, and that our species seems to be doomed; I can keep going through suffering, fixing my gaze to the sun of a brighter day. While knowing that even if/when everything falls apart and I die, my spirit doesn't, and everything is ultimately okay.

I LOVE THAT SONG!!! Early '79, I think? With or without The Moody Blues, Justin Hayward can do no wrong. He's just so damn good. 🥰🥰🥰

I love war of the worlds and have seen the staged concert 4 times. The last time was just over a
year ago and Justin Hayward was singing the part of The Sung Thoughts of The Journalist. At 75 his voice had a bit of a quiver to it but he was still amazing.
