Hey everyone.

If you're currently receiving a two step login code via email every time you go to sign in, and you did NOT set your account to require this, then the reason this is happening is because the system considers your password to be too weak/insecure. Changing your password to a secure one should fix this. I've edited the two step code email so it now explains why some members may get this code despite never having deliberately turned on this feature. The reason we do require these codes for members with weak passwords is to stop password-guessing bots from getting into your account.

If you are not using any sort of two step login (aka: multi factor authentication) to secure your account, and you would like to set that up, you can also do that. You can turn on email-based codes for your account, but you can also use app-based codes, or otherwise customize your setup to suit you.

Either way, your account security preferences page will let you change your password and two-step options.
