Plus in the day time, Super at night time, disposable nappies

i wear, 70cm x 70cm cloth nappies and plastic pants, 30 sets

i have 40 pocket nappies,

with me, i am autistic, i am renal development delayed,
at night time, i have no control, if i nap in the day time, i have no control,
day time, my bladder reflex, i wet myself every half an hour and wet myself straight after having a drink
when i need to go, i need to go, i can not hold it in, i get the feeling, next thing is my bladder is opening
i can even wet myself whiles walking,
as i am infantile, i love my nappies,
i love going to bed in a dry nappy and waking up to a soaking wet nappy,
waking up in a wet nappy, cuddling my bear and sucking on my dummy, is the best feeling ever

cloth nappies, first 6 years of my life was in cloth nappies,
when my younger brother was born, 4 years younger, we shared nappies and plastic pants
2 boys in cloth nappies, always nappies out drying on the washing line,
when he became dry, about 3-ish, i inherited his nappies, when next doors neighbours little girl (same age as my brother) i inherited her nappies,

bed was in cloth nappies, day trips and car trips i was in cloth nappies

13 years old, after seen behavioural phycologist and psychiatrist, school summer holidays, i spent 6 weeks in cloth nappies

yes cloth works for me, wearing cloth is sometimes embarrassing, big

we lived on a cul-de-sac, very friendly estate, loads of young children, everybody know everybody,
i was that kid who was very immature, the one that cried, walked around with a bear in my hand,
everyone know i was still having issues with toileting,
i was the dumping ground for unused nappies, once a child had become dry,
when pampers phases, went boy nappies and girl nappies, a neighbour from down the road, came to our back door, gave my mother, 2 bags of girl pampers phases and a half opened bag,
i can remember, pink leg and waist bands, was not very happy on that

laugh, hope you don't go through this,

10 years back, hospital,
had a nuclear image taken, one where you are radiated,
them laparoscopy inspection of the full renal system,

on waking, as i am special needs and in nappies,
i had 3 days on special needs ward to recovery after the operation,
first night, i had a catheter in, doubled nappies, catheter going into outer nappy,
waking up to find nappies on your bedside cabinet, was bit weird,
then i witnessed it, first nappy change, healthcare assistant did not close the curtains,
just changed the person in the next bed to me,
them it was my turn, same, healthcare assistant just said, everyone in here is wearing,

every 3 hours, first time felt weird, 2 healthcare assistants,
hand pulled the front of your pj's away, then rolled over to check the back

second day, i got out of bed, to walk to the window, the healthcare assistant came up to me,
said where are you going, if you need the toilet, we need 2 of use to do that, now back to bed,
the catheter was taken out, that day, back into 1 nappy,

the lad across the way got out of bed, healthcare assistant went straight to him,
go on, back to bed with you, you know your wearing a pad, if you want to go to the toilet, you can do it in your bed,
my fate was doomed, i needed to open my bowels,
3 days, i had of this,
noticed on the board above the bed, i was marked up as autism and incontinent

secretly i loved that 3 days stay in hospital, after the embarrassment left,

thing that really embarrassed me, pile of nappies on the bedside cabinet and visitors
i did not get any visitors, but everyone could see, you're in nappies

the way nurses place in a nappy is weird,

until 16 my mother changed me, on my back, on the living room floor, legs up change,
i can not change my nappy standing, have to laying down,

ok, the way the nurses do it, if your wet
2 nurses, 1 each side of the bed, they undo the tapes, then roll you over,
nurse will open out the nappy, fold it in the centre,
she places it under you, as your rolled over,
then the other nurse rolls the the other way,
removes the old nappy, pull the clean nappy,
them with me, added, some cream to my back side,
then lay you on your back,
pulls the nappy up, between your legs, this is done hard,
them, adds powder, them tapes you up, smugly

It’s to do with ergonomics. If nurses are changing nappies often it is better to roll you onto your side. They can also do this technique with a patient if any weight and without hurting themselves. A smaller sized adult or teen you may still be able to do lift legs ect but the rolling way will be how all the healthcare professionals are shown.

So from that progression of photo's I'm gonna guess you are probably around the same age as me (or close to at least), Mid 80's baby here. I also began in cloth, Terry flats with a mix of plastic pants and plastic "tie on" wraps and the same progression of Pampers till trained.

Those are definitely the late 80's - early 90's Pampers packages.
