I don’t really like ABDL diapers

I've never tried ABDL diapers. However, I couldn't see myself falling any more in love with them than my actual children's style diapers. The prints are a bit too much for me. Granted, I love prints. They are a big reason I love Goodnites and Pull Ups. However, the ones they use on ABDL diapers just seem a bit too much or perhaps too generic for me. Plus I just love the authenticity given how I was trained late enough to vaguely remember wearing Pull Ups as a kid. I do think I would love having more absorbency. That is by far my biggest gripe with what I wear, only being able to hold about 1 good wetting. However, they look so massive capacity wise that I would end up going in the same diaper pretty much all day just trying to get my money's worth, which isn't even really realistic for any other class or diaper. Not to mention how expensive they are. Sure, my Goodnites don't hold a ton, but they are well less than half the price, plus I can buy them in basically any grocery store or even a lot of convenience stores. ABDL diapers just don't make much practical sense to me as my main diapers, which is why I haven't bought any.

There seems to be more choice than ever yet many designs seem to be converging and prety similar. I don't know if this is something to do with the design and manufacturing or if it's just what the market wants. But I'm not much of a fan of the cartoony animal character prints and although there's still some newer designs I love, thinking about it, most of my favourite designs are still the older and simpler ones like the SDKs.

This thread is all full of unpopular opinions.

No problem with that, as everyone is entitled to their own. But like what @DotTheCyberCat said, what you’ve pointed out is what some of us seek in a diaper. I’m on the other end of the spectrum. I like thick diapers and cute prints. I’m not crazy about the prints, but typically when a diaper has a bunch of cute prints, it usually has a decent capacity.

I honestly don’t know how to help you on your struggle OP. But one thing I can tell you is if you are between size, it’s best to go with the size larger because the smaller size won’t fit, but the larger one will.
Very true. Personally I love the kiddish designs and the fact that they are very thick. It makes you feel little. But then again to each there own, and I am not trying to delegitimize the op's options. It's just what I prefer.

I love the coloured diapers like a solid black or Northshore’s Tie-dye. I like the pattern of the Rearz Rebel. More “adult” patterns definitely appeal to me.

But I also really like the LOG dinosaur pattern despite not liking any of the Crinklz patterns (I don’t understand the characters)

Honestly: Something where it could conceivably be a pattern on a fun pair of boxers is what I think would be my ideal.

Personally I would like to see more simple designs with an option of pink or blue trim. Or just all white with a colored trim. Two tapes. And not insanely thick.
Closest I've seen is the inspire select. SDK is also simple. Not a huge selection tho.
I too like vintage baby diapers with just tape zone graphics. So much so, that I started making my own by cutting out and scanning graphics from modern baby diapers and reconfiguring them into just a tape zone that I can print out and apply to any diaper. If it's the pink trim that you like, you could print these out and apply them to a Megamax pink. If you want I could give you my Google drive link that has all my tape graphics; I can't post the graphics here because they are .TIFF format.

Same. I don’t want to dismiss OP, we just all have our own preferences. I don’t like feeling little with cute printed nappies, I do that on my own sometimes.

It's really a matter of perspective really. I kind of go back and forth between abdl and medical diapers it really depends on mood and how long I'm planning on wearing.

I'll wear the medical version of ABDL diapers for their performance, but a tie dye Megamax is probably as funky as I'd go other than the standard white medical ones

i think it's okay that you don't like them, every adult who wears diapers has different needs. a lot of people really love the cute babyish designs while some people are just looking for functionality, and that's alright. others have mentioned that some ABDL companies do make plain all-white or other singular tone diapers, but i can understand if they're still too poofy or childish feeling. i think it's alright to not quite fit into either niche of ABDL or medical diapers, because they can be quite different at times, even if you're getting something from say Northshore which a lot of ABDLs really like. i mean a lot of ABDLs are upset that there aren't pull ups for adults that have cute babyish designs, so to me, it only makes sense that there are some adult diaper wearers out there that don't feel satisfied with the ABDL market. i think that's an okay way to feel

Crinklz are medical diapers with abdl prints. Pretty good daily’s in my opinion.

I agree, I don't like ABDL diapers either. While I understand that they are great for others, for me, they're just obnoxious and over engineered and designed. I personally HATE the bright colored designs and all the cartoons all over them. I wish there could be a great ABDL diaper that focused more on the plastic being shiny, smooth and white than trying to outdo each other with loud designs.

Each to their own, and I am glad that younger ABDLs have these colorful diapers, but they're just way too much for me.

This right here ! 100% agree ! I wish diapers would get focused more on getting the plastic right. Focusing on the softness and smoothness and shininess. Just like Pampers did in the late 80’s early nineties. SDK’s had the plastic pretty much bang on in 2018 and early 2019. Ultimate disappointment when they changed the plastic. Manufacturers need to pay more attention to the plastic. It’s what makes diapers, DIAPERS.

I think I’ve tried quite a lot of them, and each time I’m disappointed. They are always a bit too large (size M) or way too small (size S). They are too wide. They are too thick. They are made in China—I even think they are from the same factory if not the same machines. Heck, they even absorb way too much. What’s the point of 10 liters capacity? 4 is far enough IMO. Sure, medical diapers aren’t as fun and could absorb a bit more. But they are way more comfortable and less bulky. I also think that medical diapers are more “real” than ABDL diapers, if you know what I mean.

Anyone else thinks the same? Seeing people all over ADISC using them almost exclusively makes me wondering what is so great about them. I mean, of course they’re cute and all but I can’t imagine wearing something for long periods of time if it’s that uncomfortable.
Have u tried the incontrol active air

That is true. That's why there's variety, and as the saying goes, Variety is the spice of life.

The prices are usually ridiculous. But as long as I just use 1 or 2 a week, it is a luxury that I can afford.
[/QUOTE]
Try 2 or 3 a day. it I luxury I can not afford but one I can not afford to be without. So I always pay my mega max bill every month before I pay anyone else.

I rely very heavily on them as I used to wear Eurpoean diapers for my severe urinary incontinence and had to stop using them and switched over to the ABdl type diapers, no print, just simple colors and they do get me by an entire day, I am very thankful abdls have paved the way for increased absorbency diapers, certainly has made my life a whole lot easier, i was getting very tired of leaving visible leaks on furniture before i made the switchover.😐

I love how both Hello Bello & The Honest Company have non-babyish designs on most of their diapers, and they're actually baby diapers.
Adult diapers can be cool orv pretty without having babyish designs.

I agree with you on that. Take for example the new Daydreamers by Rearz. To me they seem like an overengineered diaper. Sure it has clear plastic, something we've never seen before, but like what you pointed out, it's designed to outdo the other diapers with it's all over prints. Sure it's cute, but I'm with you on the fact that there should be a higher focus on shiny soft plastic, and nostalgia like styles. The InControl BeDrys are soft enough, hold the perfect amount, and aren't printed. In my opinion, they're the perfect diaper. IMO, it's the soft plastic that does it for me. Only other diaper that does it that soft costs 60 on Amazon, and comes in 5 different colors. A nice splurge, but a 1 time thing for me, I'm afraid.

Have to - partially - agree. Most of the abdl diapers I have tried I found less satisfying; don't fit well, doesn't feel right, some were actually too thin, and what's with those prints..

I did include a pack of those Camalots now, on the last order. Only abdl diaper so far I have found interesting, though they have faults. Some of the faults, such as them being way more absorbent than possible to utilize, absurdly thick, and those prints, well, that is why I buy them now, for rare, occasional use. No way to leave the house in one of those..

There was one, though, that was great, I believe it disappeared, was that the ABU super dry kids? The were actually perfect, but it's a long time since I had them. I think they had to be ordered from overseas/U.S., which of course made them even more horribly expensive than buying from suppliers down in the EU, which in itself approx doubles the price before I have them in my house in this socialist-paradise country.

Found those ABU super dry kids, available from an EU online shop, I ordered some! Excited to see if they are the same, and as great as I remember..

(Yes, they are horribly expensive, no way to use those regularly.)
