I've just ordered a new portable hdd and was rummaging around the internet for NTFS compatibility with my smartphone (this, despite the as yet unknown powering ability of my phone and tablet on these new device powered HDDs; my old HDD has a separate power supply, and I think it may be formatted in exFAT??? Can't remember and can't be arsed checking, atm ) and stumbled upon,
