I’ve never used one but if/when I do I’ll likely order this one. It’s currently on sale and seems suitable.

Thanx, has someone tried it?

Yes I have an Akord pail.

This is my first and do like how it looks in my room. So far it's functioning well. The front door to access the inside is a little flimsy so depending on how often you empty the pail you may want to go easy on the door and latch mechanism. So far it holds in the smells pretty well although I don't mess my diaper so your milage may vary.

Edit. Mine is different than the other model.

I use a diaper genie and have no complaints.

I have an Akord 400 series. Love it

I had a diaper champ pail, was nice as no special bags needed, just regular trash bags worked great. Dont feel it was that great on odor control.
Also had a diaper genie for a while but was a bit of a pain for adult diapers. The akord aka diaper dekor pail would be better

I also got a 400 series Akord, but I noticed it doesn't come with the smell trapping top flaps, is there somewhere to get them or is it just an open pain once you step on the lever?

Mine has the doors. Though f you bought used they may have been removed. I would call the manufacturer to see if they sell them

I Didn't buy it used, I bought it from adaptive specialists, and when I wend to the manufactures site, the ones they had at the 400 level didn't have the doors, any chance you could take a pic of yours?

I don't use a special diaper pail, I just use a standard flip top garbage can with a foot pedal at the bottom

I empty it maybe 2 or 3 times per week if I'm going through a lot of diapers and it hold smells in pretty well when its closed

interesting

Dekor XL is a really good product! Don’t live the proprietary bag system but I have found it to accommodate even fully maxed out XL diapers.

We should be able to design a better diaper pail. One that doesn’t eject a plume when the flap flaps...
