“im not broken“ by Rhoda lipscomb
I’m seriously in love with this book, it’s a guide on acceptance and how to deal with ABDL. I have known about it for a few years but never wanted to buy it because it would be on my tablet and in my purchase history. But after doing therapy for 16 months now with my amazing therapist I don’t care. It was free with an Amazon unlimited kindle trial thing so I did it. The exercises are helping me understand and name my emotions even more (before talking with current therapist I literally could not name emotions and shoved them down deep - if I had strong emotions as a kid I was sent to my room until I “calmed down” and then nothing was said after). There are two chapters at end for partners and parents. I think I’m going to ask my mom to read them (even though they don’t 100% apply, she doesn’t have control on telling me where I can wear them nor does she has to participate more than understanding I am ordering and wearing around her. But maybe she would go ahead and read the first few chapters annd understand a bit more about it. Not holding my breathe …. She has never googled or read anything on my fibro or anxiety to understand what I’m dealing with.
But highly recommend everyone here to read it.
