[Semi off-topic] Finding a community

Hello!

I'll be attending university this fall and I was hoping I could search for others like me.
I'm young and I have a concern that I may be taken advantage of or forced into something that isn't good for me.
I'm really nervous about meeting people in the AB/DL community because I've never known someone else like myself.
Any tips on how to find a welcoming and safe community/partner?

Attending university is a great way of coming into contact with not only people like yourself, but also people very unlike yourself. Both are good things.

Depending on where you are, you can usually find something called a munch. People who share your interests (whether its AB/DL related or not.). These are typically public gatherings where people can meet up face to face and share a meal pr a group activity. It can be a good way to "dip your toe in the water" because you can come...and if you feel uncomfortable you can go.

No one you'd want to know is going to try and force you to do anything you don't want to do. If anyone does, that's a huge red flag.
