From reading these posts and being in two different but neighboring townships in PA, it appears that recycling policies are very local specific. My guess is it has a lot to due with the local laws and the companies handling the actual collection and recycling.
Here we have single-stream recycling and regular trash collections but there are a number of exceptions and special classes and (to me) inconsistencies in the exceptions.
Oh well...I try to recycle or reuse as much as possible but I don't go too far out-of-my-way to recycle.
