I thought my computer had packed up on me!

I had a scary moment last night, when I was on my computer. I was in the middle of a zoom session for my Book Club, when suddenly my computer shut down
without me doing anything.
Anyway, I put it back in its' case and didn't touch it for the rest of the evening.

Then this morning, when I took it out, and plugged it into the mains, pushed the power button to turn it on, nothing happened.
I panicked and assumed the worst- that the computer had finally given up the ghost and was never going to work again!
I unplugged and put it away, forgot about it.
I took my dog out for an hour, and upon my return, I checked all the power point sockets in the living-room, and discovered the one I had plugged the
computer into wasn't working.
Common sense told me to try a different power socket, which I did, and hey presto the computer came back to life, hooray!!!

I am no technical wizard with computers so at first tend to panic if something doesn't work as it should.
I guess the moral to this tale, is always check the power supply first, before going into panic mode.
I'm just relieved that I don't have to buy a new computer.
