Eliminating Diaper Smell

I get the small office/bathroom can sized scented trash bags. They do no have a drawstring, so once you wrap up the diaper (nice and compact), it goes in the bag, and the bag itself gets tied. That has always contained the smell no matter what happen in it, and those go in a larger bag (simply for containment of all the diapers), and into the outside trash for collection later.

Besides bagging. I've found wrapping a diaper in newspaper before bagging helps to. For some reason newspaper will soak up the odor.

When disposing of a used diaper, lay the diaper open on the floor. Fold the front flaps over themselves. Next, loosely roll the diaper in on itself, from front to back. Now fold one of the back flaps over the rolled part, and roll/fold that part over the remaing back flap. Use the exposed tapes to seal it all up.

This will trap any smells within the rolled up diaper for at least a couple of days, even messy ones. Toss it in a diaper pail or trash can that has a lid on it. This will extend the time of trapping in the smells for at least a few more days. Make sure to empty the trash can/pail at leadt every 5-7 days. Smells should not be a problem this way.

Note, this doesn't work well if you have strong smelling or yellow, or dark yellow pee. You need to (always) stay hydrated enough so your pee is clear or mostly clear with a tint of yellow. Any darker and you are dehydrated and need to drink more water. Diaper or no.
