I've been a member of the community for decades, but last fall I started developing short notice issues, causing me to have to go 24/7. Never wanted to, but had to. I've had times where I have about 30 seconds from my body giving notice to release no matter what. Sometimes, at least lately, it hasn't been that bad, but I still need to find a restroom pretty soon if I don't want to deal with a wet diaper at work.

Was going to get it checked out, but everything that could hit the fan did since then. Finally got in to see a doctor a month ago and got a referral. Unfortunately, living in a small area, I won't be able to see the specialist until August.

Anyone else go through this? I really do not like being 24/7, I actually feel like it takes away from all the things I like about the lifestyle.

I get short notice if I allow my bladder to get too full. This can happen when intently working at the computer or lying on the couch watching football/NASCAR etc. Once I get up off the couch, I'm on short notice. If the bathroom is occupied, well, I pee myself. I didn't discover this problem until I started to do shopping with an elderly family member who no longer drives. I am 20 years younger, but standing in the checkout line, I am the one peeing myself  My issue is mainly due to nerve-damage caused by diabetes. During the day I get by with pull-ups for accident prevention. At night I need something more..

It took me about 6 months to get a urologist appointment even though this isn't a small town.

Yeah, I'm 38, so 37 when it started. I have a large bladder, but it's never been an issue until last fall. Before then, I got the normal signals. Then my body decided it wasn't going to tell me until right when I had to go. Doesn't even need to be a full bladder. It can be a smaller amount.
