I am wondering how many people wear for mental health reasons. For me I would say definitely yes, although I do like the comfort of them I felt my mental health slipping severely when I took a break from wearing diapers or at least wasn't wearing as regularly. I have been regularly wearing as of late and I do find that my mental health is definitely at least a little bit better because of it.

Sometimes, yes. It can be such a comfort. Also as a DL, the act of wearing can be an electric experience that has a positive effect on my mood. As an AB , well that's all calming and positive on general mental health, great for 'time out' of stressful thinking.

I think diapers can be/are healthier than hard drugs or a spiked...never mind.

I would definitely say so. The longer I was away from wearing a nappy, the more I felt a deeply uncomfortable feeling inside.

When I finally opened up about being a DL and git to wear nappies again when I was 16, I felt the most at ease with myself I had in years.

Yes I think they help me unwind after a rough work week, Sure this was pay week but it's still rough doing a 9 to 5. My weekends lately have been my time to pad up and wind down, forget the stress and relax

I'm a bit sad that my body got used to the "high" I get before when I wear diapers. It's like chasing the dragon, I can't re-create the feeling I got when I first wore a diaper for the first time. Since I have my own place and works from home, I can get into diapers anytime and as long as I want. I wish I could just wear a diaper and just be a baby and just have not think about anything.

But adult responsibilities always knocks in the door and it makes me feel bad.

I didn't start out that way but after my wife died, wearing diapers and regressing helps me with overcoming grief.

Yes. My mental health has improved a great deal for the past year, since I started wearing diapees 24/7!

Sometimes...normally I wear because I like it but there are times when it helps relax me or reduces my stress level.

Sometimes. When stressed it helps me get relaxed. Probably small age regression, going back in times when everything was much easier and less complicated.

I could say my reasons for wearing are just as much mental health related as they are medical related. Unpadded me is a functional wreck. Padded me is truly happy.

They work in conjuction with my emergency meds. Whenever I have an anxiety attack, I'll put one on and it will help me emotionally(along with the meds).

If I'm ultra stressed, they're the best home remedy outside of taking meds.

I use to wear them for fun, but I started having anxiety and an overactive bladder, so now I wear them all the time,

When I stated taking medication things went down hill for me and I had to give up working full time.
The endocrine specialist agreed my dose was high and reduced it.
I decided to go 24/7 and after 2 years I returned to full time contracting and I would say it was the best thing I ever did.

I'm medically incontinent so I wear 24/7, but I know I feel more confident when I'm wearing a thicker ABDL diaper.
So wearing diapers does improve my mental health as well as my managing my leaking bladder.

Wearing diapers is incredibly healing for my mental health. While I’m not IC, diapers help me feel safe, secure, comfortable, and protected. It always feels like a cloud hugging me and making it all better. Having known I wanted to wear diapers again around 12 years old in the 90’s, I denied myself that feeling until I was in my mid 20’s because of fear and isolation. Thank goodness for the internet and places like ADISC. We’re not alone! ☺️

I only say sometimes because they are also my biggest kink and I simply can’t deny that. Then again, that can be good for mental health too.

It's all tied together for me but the basic truth is I feel safer, more secure and myself in diapers. I do not wear 24/7 (yet) but between a long repressed ABDL side and an increasing incontinence it is needed more and more every single day.

I'm lucky to have a therapist who is not only supportive of my diapers but also encourages being little and regressing as form of therapy. She is a younger therapist but she has helped me immensely to accept it is ok to need for multiple reasons.

Well, i am very certain that i would go mental if i werent able to wear diapers, so i guess you could look at it that way :)

Being a DL is not a choice imho. Just like any other sexuality or fetish.

I think it’s more of not having to be responsible stopping what I’m doing and going to pee, which I feel definitely feeds into positive mental health, as well as feeling secure.
