Capacity/Advice Question

Hi it’s been some time since I’ve used an actual adult diaper. I usually use 3-5 size 7/8 diapers (assorted brands) baby diapers modified with the tabs from the prior. My unload capacity is typically 270-330 ml per wetting (just shy of 500ml first for day). I’m not 24/7 (more like 36/1or2 by choice) and I’m trying to train my bladder to smaller unloads so the diapers absorb better before leaking. I want to be 24/7 but as much in-control as I can be (I have high-stress and cold-weather based incontinence). I wear regular underwear with a microfiber insert to catch those uncontrollable moments.

I bought a pack of LFB ABDry to try out and they claim to have a 1.46gal (5500ml) capacity.

1. Is that capacity actually a usable amount?
2. How do you know when diapers are at capacity besides leaking?
3. Any tips for decreasing unload amount for better absorption?
