What’s up peeps! What musical talent do you have? …from guitar or tuba to scratching and mixing. If you can drop a beat, shout it out, yo!

Baby time sounds not included. Please no goo-goo, gaga, squeeky, burpy, or sloppy plop.

I tried to play the tuba in grade school but didn't like carrying it everywhere. I learned music theory in high school as part of the chorus. I worked for Bose for years and learned a lot about the physics and electronics of sound. I have been playing guitar as a hobby for ten years. I like shredding my favorite Slayer riffs before regressing. It pulls a lot of the anger out. Little time and angry frustrations of the day do not mix well.

Hey... I'm a musician! Guitarist... obviously! And.. this might be up your street considering you for worked for Bose... I program my own digital sound effects boxes as a hobby!

That is so cool. I have another friend that makes his own peddles. Are your effects live or post-production? I do a little recording so I have a mixer, midi and a Scarlett 4x4 USB interface.

They are live! I have an 18i20 and tonnes of outboard hardware back at my parents house :D

I played the saxophone for around 15 years, started when I was 6 ^-^. Music's been all my life, been studying it for a loooong time now! I stopped playing the saxophone though and started to do more electronic stuff, bought myself a Korg MS-20, though I'd love to find some band around where I live to play with people ^-^

Well... I play the violin... I'm not very good at it... but I'm working on a mozart concerto and also other pieces.
I am the same with guitar but don't you fret... if we practice we will get better! 😄

I tried song writing... how about The Saggy Bottom Blues? 😎

I was a sax player for a long time throughout school, and I still pick it up every now and then. I’ve also been trying to teach myself guitar for years, but it’s tough. I kinda wish I would’ve started sooner.

Guitartricks.com has done me really good.

My father was a drummer during the Big Band Era. My parents fostered my love of music. Every birthday from toddler-hood to my preteen years, I received a musical gift. My father would tell me stories about big band greats and had a plethora of Clarinet and sax recordings to share. He said he saw me playing the sweet Soprano Sax some day. He steered me toward woodwinds. By the age of 12, I was an outstanding woodwind (Clarinet) musician. My music teacher Mr. Dunsbarry was a wonderful and compassionate man. His passion for the clarinet led me to become principal chair in my school district. As a result, I have been a poet and musical my entire life.

Bought my first hand-crafted 12 string guitar at 13 and taught myself to play. At age 15, I used some of my lawn mowing money to buy a D-28 style Brazilian Rosewood Dreadnought (Copy) made at the Tokai Factory in Japan. Then progress on the guitar really started to heat up. When Seals and Crofts wrote and recorded "Hummingbird", I fell in love with the Mandolin and purchased an A style. Taught myself bluegrass mandolin (thanks to Mel Bay) and the Mandolin and Mandolin family of instruments became my passion. I now own modern and vintage Mandolins, Octave Mandolins, Tenor Guitars and Irish Tenor Banjos. Play Celtic, Irish, Gypsy, Bluegrass, New-grass, and Dawg Music (David Grisman). Since then I have acquired and learned most world plectrum instruments.

Although I did not Major in Music, as dogboy did, I was the primary chair for Tenor Recorder in the The Renaissance Recorder Consort at Central Washington University from 1974 - 1978 . Over my 40 years as a teacher, child development specialist, and adolescent intervention specialist, I used music to reach kids and young adults. In my last 10 years in public schools prior to retirement, I had the opportunity to provide classroom and small group instruction in Recorder and guitar at my elementary school. I served an music director and worship leader for a church from 1982 - 2004.

I am still passionate about woodwinds. I have a collection of vintage Silver Buescher Jazz Saxophones from the early teens to 1937. a C-melody, Alto and Tenor that I have restored and love to play. Unfortunately, I do not own a Buescher baritone or a curved Buescher soprano. Even though it is not curved, my father would have been proud to know that youngest his son owns and plays a Professional Yamaha Soprano Saxophone.

My latest endeavor is participation as musician in a Mid-summer Scandinavian Festival held on the Oregon Coast. I own and play a rare Swedish Hummel hand crafted by a prominent southern California Luthier the late in 1970's. I am building a Kantele and a Norwegian Harp for my next performances this summer.

That is awesome! I have the same passion for computer science. To me, music is another programming language except the machines are different. Plus, thank you for educating our youth! It seems that you got a lot of satisfaction from teaching. 😁

Contemporary voice, classical piano, composition. Currently doing self-guided study in advanced classical theory, introductory jazz theory, and orchestration.

I’m a decent musician. Especially anything stringed. But I’m really good using hydrogen drum machine and pro tools

My father was a part-time folk singer-songwriter. Wrote some stuff that eventually charted but he never got anything except whiskey and hand-made leather guitar straps for his efforts. I have his guitars and can play them competently. I'm also learning Chapman Stick and keyboards but that's slow going.

I like to play the piano. A couple of years ago I studied music theory, history and analysis, harmony and counterpoint at the conservatory just for fun.

That’s great! I’m also working on a Mozart concerto, for piano. Which one are you working on?
