Booster pads

What did some of you use before they made actual booster pads for adult diapers. I remember on some Incontinence forums folks mentioned using baby diapers. What was the earliest year folks used disposable baby diapers as booster pads for adult diapers.

Back in the late 80s with the old green Depend, I would cut a slit down a baby diaper and use it inside the Depend. I think the baby diaper was more absorbent than the Depend diaper... but it didn't fit.

I still use an adult pull-up with slits cut in it as a booster @ $0.39 cheaper then boosters

I would alter a baby diaper
cut off tapes & cut slits in it

but booster pads just work so much better so glad we have those now

I used baby diapers as boosters as far back as the 80’s when I was a teenager. It was the only thing around to boost the adult sized diapers, which were not very absorbent. You cut the sides off and put small slits in the backing. Especially had to do this for a night diaper.

Sometime in the 90’s, boosters for baby/toddler diapers came out. I started using those instead. More comfortable. Today’s boosters are so much better.
