Anyone in the Iowa City area?

Just moved to the Iowa City area a few months ago and figured I'd put some feelers out and see what sort of community and groups were in the area, if any.

I know there's a fair amount that in Chicago, but it's prohibitively expensive to head there with any regularity. Definitely on my to-do list though!

Not quite. In the Davenport, IA area, which is a good 2.5 hour drive to the Tykables store near Chicago.

Howdy neighbor!

Still glad to know there's at least someone in the general area! I haven't been very far east of Iowa City yet, but many people outside this community have told me I should spend some time around both Davenport and Chicago.

Kind of a shame, there used to be a group in Cedar Rapids that did munches and stuff, but they don't seem to be active anymore.

Put some feelers out in Kansas City since I'm down that way once in a while, and been considering taking a look at Des Moines as well. This girl's gotta have some community and friends.
