90s Movie Moms

I realised the other day what a big effect early 90s movie moms had on my idea of an ideal mommy.

Apparently big haired, red headed women in big jackets was a popular style in then.

The movies are Problem Child, Drop Dead Fred, Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot and Home Alone.

I always had a crush on the moms in the 90s diaper commercials.

She's not really a mom, though in some iterations she kind of acts like one, but I'd like to give a shoutout to in this broad category, Judith Hoag from the 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film as April O'Neil.

This is a little after the 90’s early noughties but we had two very different mothers in the same films which were Harry Potter you had Aunt Petuina who loved her son Dudley but treated her nephew Harry like a slave (sleeping in a cupboard under the stairs, wearing Dudley’s cast offs and starving him as punishment) but you also had Molly Weasley who although a strict disciplinarian with her own children she was a loving mother at heart who treated Harry like a seventh son.
