When I was five, (more than 70 years ago) I was dressed one New Year's Eve in my usual diapers, but instead of my usual plain plastic pants, a pair of plastic pants my mom had found with "Happy New Year" and balloons printed on them. I remember liking the attention and feeling special when I wore those plastic pants.
Some time later, someone had a pair of plastic pants printed with what looked like a bank stamp saying FOR DEPOSIT ONLY. That got a lot of laughs and I remember wearing those plastic pants quite a few times. I nevar fell ridiculed and I did enjoy the attention.
Did any of you or anyone in your families ever wear novelty plastic pants? Was it a positive experience?
