How many of you suffered a delay in ability to void in a diaper when first using for night time sleeping?https://www.adisc.org/forum/images/smilies/general/wallbash.gif

I thought I was the only one, but recently found another person online that complained of his/her initial delay in using a night time diaper.
In my case, it was almost two weeks of putting on a diaper and cover and then getting up two or three times a night to physically/mentally make myself eliminate in a diaper. Thankfully, I mastered the diaper/booster/cover/onesie combination to give myself the confidence that I would not leak and ruin the bed/chair -(my sleeping nest). Use of a pacifier didn't work for me. I believe it was the ability of the conscious brain cells to convince the sub-conscious brain cells - (the ones that control our REM sleeping functions) that it was safe and acceptable to void without waking the body to go to the bathroom.https://www.adisc.org/forum/images/smilies/general/hug.gif

The first full night sleep was achieved with a total duration of over nine hours, something that I hadn't experienced in over twenty years.https://www.adisc.org/forum/images/smilies/general/biggrin.gif

I have to admit, I'm in total love with my diaper. Thankfully, I have an understanding wife, as I will often shout-out "I love my dipees" as I awake with a full, wonderfully wet/warm diaper from a good night's slumber!

God Bless NorthShore for being there when I needed help.

If by void, you mean urinate, I haven't really been able to do it while sleeping or even while laying in bed typically. I've been sleeping in diapers for about a month now. What I find is that I need to first stand up and get ready to go, and then lie back down. I'm assuming it will eventually become more natural.

That's so funny that you too have been shouting out that you love your diapers to your wife. I've been doing exactly the same thing with mine. I love that we all get so much satisfaction and fulfilment from doing this. I've also been really loving cuddling with my wife and thinking of her as my mommy; she's been fairly tolerant of me throwing the "m" word her direction during those times.

If you have mastered going in your sleep after just a few weeks, and are now getting an uninterrupted 8-9 hours, good for you. That is my goal so I don't have to get up 3-4 times a night and only sleep a few hours at a time. That kind of sleep would be heaven sent.
