If anyone is savvy enough to help me figure out where this person's country of origin is I'd appreciate it. I know my way around a network well enough but help me nail this cunt

Have any IPs? Can try an IANA lookup but who knows how elaborate they are with VPN etc to mask.

I don't have any yet. I was communicating via Discord and since you can block network connections based on .exe you should be able to query network connections based on .exe's as well I'd think

Also was on port 443

Feels like Discord most likely acts as it's own proxy to mask user's IPs though so I highly doubt I'll be able to get it, and they probably did it that way for a reason.

Some people know how to be fuckin snakes thats for sure. I feel empty and used

The only way "how to can verify and trust" is a personal contact.

Scammers tend to fall into two categories:
1. Idiots who don’t bother to check their spelling or the believability of their words. Like the Nigerian Prince scandal. Why would a Nigerian Prince contact you? Surely he’d use a merchant bank or similar institution for this sort of thing. If you were scammed this way I’m not saying you are foolish. After all the Nigerian princes scam is very creative and somewhat credible.
2. Very clever people who know how and where to target you. These can be willing to play the long game and can take you for everything stories are all over TV about people who have sent money for medical treatment that never happened or to get documents for travel they never intended to do.
I have had several people claim that they have footage of me pleasuring myself while watching some seriously messed up stuff on porn sites and they’ll send the footage to my friends, family and employers with details of what I was watching unless I pay them (the amounts vary) to date I have never paid and none of my friends or family have ever said anything. So either it arrived in their junk folder and they didn’t see it or the person was lying. Probably most definitely lying as I don’t visit or use Porn sites.

Just looking at the Nigerian Prince scam and how it’s linked to the Spanish Prisoner which I saw in the BBC show ‘Hustle’ (though the victims in that deserve it) and like I said in this sort of instance why would they contact you? But it’s a particularly nasty scam as it’s plays on people’s goodwill and desire to help people. I’m a generous person and try to see the best in people but if I receive a email asking for money (unless it’s a charity like Comic Relief) I just delete it. I always remember what Mr Weasley told Ginny and although it’s not the same thing it does make sense ‘never trust anything that can think for itself if you can’t see where it keeps it’s brain!’ don’t trust anyone you can’t see in person even if they don’t ask for any money at the outset the minute they do alarm bells should start ringing.

I've gotten similar email. Claimed to have hacked my computer and gotten video of me. Must have been a very advanced hacker to get video on a system without camera. 😃

Crazy has the better of the argument: The only “mommy” you can trust is the one in front of you. Meet someone in person before you let them see your cash.

I cut off all communication and told them never to contact me again. That being said, based on how this person is vs. other scammers who have tried to get me, I am still wondering if they were sincere and if I overreacted. Common sense says I did not overreact but I will always wonder.

I met them/it/her(?) on Fetlife, which can be a great place to meet people but it feels like a cesspool to me now after what I've seen.
