I have autism and was diagnoised with PDD(Personal Developmental Disorder as a kid) as well and am also an ABDL. Though I'm more DL than AB. But I don't think that just because you have autism doesn't mean you are an ABDL. I'm an ABDL becasue i love diapers and peeing in them. I also don't like scary movies (with jump scares) but prefer psycological horrors from time to time. But with Autism and ABDL i dont honstly know. But you know yourself more than we(the internet) know you.

I have Asperger's and i find im still about 6-8 years old emotionally, I still like toys, kids stuff, have the need to be cherished and hugged like a little child. I'm not into sex and adult themes and I get disturbed by evil things like nasty men that hurt others and stuff like that.

I find I need to be looked after in order for me to thrive instead of just surviving, I can cook, dress myself etc.

I find it hard that my parents treat me like an adult sometimes and hold me accountable for my own things and have expectations of me now so much I wish I was a biological child again, however I feel like I'm coping and will be able to cope, ill just make sure I have some little time to unwind everyday and take it easy.

It can get a little lonely however, I don't feel like anybody should be lonely in this world.

So, question. I'm 25 but I sure don't feel it I'm very immature and sensitive. I do not like horror movies as I'm too scared to watch them. Pretty much anything sexual grosses me out. I have no desire for romance and am asexual. I still watch a lot of the shows I watched from my childhood I have not outgrown them. I collect many stuffed animals and still sleep with a stuffed Pooh Bear to this day. And of course I am obsessed with Frozen.

I'd love to get the opinions of the ABDL community. I have high functioning Autism known as Aspergers, and of course am ABDL. I'm trying to figure out if these traits are common of ABDLs or if it's more because of my Autism. Basically I've never really completely grown up I still feel like a kid at times which could explain why I like to dress and act as a Baby sometimes. But does being ABDL mean that we still have kind of the mentality of children. Or do ABDLs still engage in adult activities like sex/porn, horror movies, etc.?

Because again I'm very sensitive to a lot of things and I'm wondering if that's because I'm ABDL or because I'm Autistic. Could it be that deep down I really am still just a Baby and haven't/never will mentally grow up. Or is it because of my Autism? I know ABDLs still watch and engage in children's programming and activities, but is that by choice or because they can't handle/are sensitive to adult activities? Or can they handle/engage in adult activities outside of regressing as ABDLs?

Does being ABDL actually affect your mentality and make you more sensitive and unable to handle certain things not for kids (Adult things) or is it just something we do because we like it or we choose too. I would gladly appreciate some help on this issue from the ABDL Community and those with Autism as well. Thanks and as always...stay Diapered.

Despite my more advanced age of 62, as an Autistic, I am still very much like a child, even though I do every adult thing to remain independent and living out in the community.
I am still in love with toy cars and truck, baby/toddler toys, plushies, juvenile print bedsheets and blankets.

I am a little like you I was diagnosed autistic on my 30’s I am responsible have a job pay my bills, but besides that I feel
Like a child I don’t se me as an adult at all, I buy things with characters on, like pacifier bottle and diaper, but I don’t have to get to special place I just like those thinks one of my students told her mom one time that I was not an adult but a big child and she was right on that, Thatiana how I fell and I think is more about autism because I have always been like that even before start engaging with abdl activities ( learning about) sex for me is gross , so I do think it’s autistic related

Being in the ABDL community, I have noticed that there seems to be a connection with ABDL ism and mental issues. It seems like most of us have mental issues so we use ABDL. Things ABDLs have in common with the non ABDL population:

child like
Childish
Immaturity
Liking cute things
Plushies
Kid shows
Legos
Asexuality
anything that is associated with kids

There are none ABDLs who do the above. They just overlap.

One thing I have noticed with some ABDL is they have the worst social skills out there they think it's okay to fetish mine or give you dick shots or not take no as an answer when looking for a mommy. They also seem to find it okay to expose it in public too. I doubt they are autistic and they are just jerks instead and look like they will be the people to use "age dysphroia" to do it in public.


Someone once did a study and it was found that only 5% of ABDLs are on the autistic spectrum or have been diagnosed as having it.

Anyway, I have always been immature for my age and was developmentally delayed growing up and had immature emotions. I never knew why I was this way. I wondered if autism had anything to do with it. I was slow at getting things and slow to understand kids thoughts I was slow or retarded. I was also a late bloomer with sex and was very naïve about it. I even thought in high school kids were having sex because they wanted a baby. I thought that was why people only had sex.


I also like adult things too like reading about crime and capital punishment, watching Dr. Phil and I watch youtube videos. I also like horror films and thriller.
