hey man wutsup...im just trying to meet new friends
yeah I'm in that "senior checking out" section, mostly because of miscommunication on my teacher's part, and an apathetic mood on mine. Remember how I said I had trouble with walking lines cuz this was my first year of (not only jazz) but band in general? well basically my teacher established that he didn't like me or my playing whereas my friend is the closest thing to a God of bass if i ever saw one so he said the only song I was playing would not be played for any of the important concerts, reviews, etc.

My response? "Well, go screw urself, I'm gonna play roots then and not practice anymore."
a week before Reno jazz fest "Ok guys Queen Bee (the song we've been working on for the past 4 weeks) isn't workin, so we're gonna play Groovin' Hard (the only song i was supposed to be playing) instead."
My response? "Well, go screw urself, I'm gonna have alex play it instead." =/
Same with me bout the big bands and practice, although i had a great jam session with my friend resulting in a new song for our band, so that was good.

My jazz playing level, however, has remained a bit stagnant.
Just got back to Reno and finally saw REAL jazz for once. I was definitely, pleasantly surprised! We ended up seeing Terri Lynn-Carrie (if you've ever heard of her) and John Coltrane's son, Ravi Coltrane. Apart from that, we saw hella good high schools and universities and I'm still tappin my foot thinkin about all that awesome music.

You'll have to tell me about new Orleans when u come back
Well, when you say you're going to New Orleans for a jazz festival, Reno just seems miniscule in comparison. haha

And that's cool about colleges. Do you have any in mind already?
I just got off spring break =/ but oh well, this is my last quarter before im done with high school.

What's goin on up in oregon and washington? do u have family there or is it vacation?

And I definitely feel ya on the busy part getting a lot worse lol. I'm headin to reno with my jazz band the weekend after next for a huge jazz festival. I've been told it's one of the biggest in the western part of the country so should definitely be interesting!

Yeah I know what you mean, my break is almost over unfortunately
lmao i think that's the best response i've ever gotten from someone regarding the demon in my house.

I just did an 8th grade orientation with my jazz band for my school and it was pretty damn lame. Not a single clap of recognition after a 5 song set in a gymnasium full of people, and we did fairly well. It wasn't our greatest performance, but it was at least good enough for a "Hey, that was pretty cool."

Oh well though. Only a few more months and I'm gonna be done here. lol
Life is good so far. I've got a lot on my plate but things are starting to look up. However, I think my house is haunted by a demon. lol

I'm pissed. The reason why is the most recent entry in my blog.

That is the beauty of it. He doesn't announce it, and when you mock him for it, and then you find out, you feel like a dick.
    M
Because he apparently has a learning disability. You don't fuck with the disabled.

Yeah, don't mention Matt1989's spelling. I got a negative rep. For the record, he has improved since before. Before, every other word was not even close. Now, it's sort of close. Close enough to paraphrase what he's saying.
it's been a rough couple weeks for me, and if I don't crack down, it's just gonna get tougher lol. I've got about 4 more weeks til break. Mostly I've been trying to get my life on track but i keep endin up partyin and hangin with the wrong crowd. I feel like my life is turning into a giant 'after school special' stereotype, and I can't help but chuckle a bit because of it haha. Things'll work out in the end, I just have to man up a bit.
sorry on bein gone for a while, got caught up with stuff for school and whatnot

i may have misspelled normalcy, but it's just a general sense or state of things being "normal", ya no wat i mean? rather than it being a totally insane, things are just normal.

and the shakeweight works, no doubt. it just takes some getting used to because ur using weird muscles. i personally just do different variations of push-ups and bar dips for my upperbody/arm workout. course i also do weight training a little bit, but not as much as i used to. i prefer to workout without weights. less of a hassle to change um all around and keep track of stuff, and it makes you more tone and cut rather than big.
