Yesterday I was at the mall, and I needed a diaper change. I was at the mall with the two people who work as my staff. Since my stroke, it has been harder for me to do everyday activities. I use a manual wheelchair, I rarely walk anymore. I don’t use a toilet.

We got to the bathroom, all three of us at once. I am positioned by the grab bar in the bathroom. My wife pulls my stroke affected side toward the grab bar. I grab with my good arm. As I am standing there, my second caregiver pulls down my pants and removes the diaper. She then wiped me with wipes and both staff start putting the new diaper on me. It takes about 2-3 minutes to get me redressed, and then I go back in my wheelchair and reposition and leave the bathroom and we went to play air hockey.

As for me yesterday, I hobbled 1/2 a mile in a wet and poopy diaper.
Changed it at the BIG LOTS!.
