I would like to hear stories and experiences about the first time your wife/SO tried wearing a diaper for the first time. (You diapering her) I’m far from that experience with my wife but I’ve thought /fantasied about it a lot over the years. When the day comes I want the experience to be great! So please share your good and not so good stories.

My wife has known for a while now that I wear. She has bought me diapers occasionally, I am free to wear anytine but she is generally not at all into it.

While away for a few nights a few years ago, she asked if I packed any diapers as I'd be free to wear while at the hotel (no kids there). Of course I was aware of the situation and packed a few. I told her I got a sample pack with one that was the wrong size so she'd have to wear it.

Late the first night after a few drinks and some casino play, we went up to the room. I went right in and put on a diaper and brought the other one out to her. Not really thinking she'd wear it, I tossed it to her and said "this one is yours"

With a huff and a puff she said "fine". She went in the bathroom and put it on and came and sat on the bed. I was surprised she did it. I of course was hoping for some play, maybe she'd wet it, leading up to sex perhaps, but that was not in the cards.

She sat there like she had a giant bug on her or something. She wasn't happy, didn't move and couldn't wait to take it off. We sat and watched TV for about 15 minutes, laying side by side wearing just the diapers. I was enjoying the sight of someone next to me wearing and tried to initiate some play but she was not having it. She suddenly jumped up and she went and took it off. Said she couldn't stand the bulk between her legs.

That was the first and last time she wore. I enjoyed the sight of another live human adult wearing a diaper with me for the first time, but that was it.

Ehh. After a night of drinking, at least I woke up soaked and happy. It's just not for her.

She definitely has acceptance. For me wearing anyway. I could wear 24/7 and she probably wouldn't care. I have told her it would be a turn on for me, make for good foreplay, etc, asked her to wet one just once..

It's been 15 years or so since I told her I like to wear diapers and she has put a diaper on me twice. I have joked here and there about her wearing, on long road trips, or one time she laughed so hard she peed a drop, I'd say "well if you had a diaper on" or "I have diapers in the trunk if you need one". She'll laugh it off or something but has only had one on that one time.

She is cool with me wearing but has no interest in wearing herself or even incorporating my wearing into any kind of play.

I am lucky enough to have that acceptance, it's more than some have.

My fiancee asked me once if I had any interest in her wearing a diaper like me. I told her the truth, that as much as I have enjoyed looking at photos and videos of girl wearing, wetting and messing in their diapers, I've never been too interested asking a girl to wear with me. In November, 2019, my wife developed a bad case of bronchitis that had her down for 3 weeks. Around the 1 1/2 week mark she was 100% miserable and with every cough leaking a bit of pee. She was concerned that her panty liners might not be sufficient so she asked if she could use one of my diapers (I only use pull ups). OMG!!! Did I hear her correctly? You bet I did. I got her one of my diapers and she put it on. Once it was in place and before she put her shorts on, I told her she looked really great in the diaper. I don't recall her specific response; but, it falls in the category of "Whatever." She used another diaper the next day and that was the extent of her wearing diapers. Over those 2 days I complimented her several times as to how great she looked wearing diapers and how hot I thought she looked in them. (In all honesty, I have a bad "case of my wife" and she'd look hot to me wearing an Eskimo's snow suit, nothing at all, and anything between those 2 extremes.) I even suggested to her on our 15 hour trip coming up about 3 weeks later she might enjoy wearing a diaper so she didn't have to be concerned about which interstate rest area we'd need to stop at for her. All the compliments and the travel suggestion fell on deaf ears. She has zero, nada, zilch interest in wearing diapers. I have no intentions of mentioning them to her again in the vein of suggesting she try them. She wore them of her own independent thought and was happy as could be to stop after 2 days when she no longer thought she needed them. Oh well, if not to please me, at least she did wear them. I only wish she had embraced them in that short time to the point she would at least like to wear on occasion.

My wife has not worn a diaper per se but she has worn plastic panties. It’s been a awhile since she has and I think she prefers wearing lingerie that I buy her. I had purchased quite a selection form string waisted plastic pants to full cut white and see-through ones. Even checkered ones that are pictured online in a few places. For me it was awesome and I took the time to appreciate my luck and level of enjoyment. For her it felt like she was doing it for me. She would agree sometimes if I asked but never initiated. Thus, it felt a bit one sided and I’m not into that.
Interestingly when I first came out as a DL to her it was in the context of her wearing and it went down like a led zeppelin as the day. She is fine with me wearing now but she simply doesn’t want to herself. Sometimes I think her apprehension is more tied to the fact she worries she may need them eventually. She is somewhat accident prone which she finds embarrassing.

Also, it seems to me from reading many posts from the ABDL community when dealing with a vanilla SO, that the desire by the ABDL to have the SO's participation, it transfers the power dynamic to the SO. The SO gets to decide how much participation, where and how often. Having a life long attraction to diapers opens your mind to other kinks. I mean if your a DL and you want to but a diaper on your wife, have her diaper you, both wet the diaper at a movie then come home to sexy time its almost impossible for the DL to think any other kink is "too weird". When you like the "more weird" kink or have a vanilla SO you will do almost anything.

I guess the diaper itself has too many negative connotations for the vanilla parties. As I mentioned in another thread though, I think the time to introduce this concept is in the early euphoric stages of a relationship. It is understandable that once a couple are entrenched in their ways it’s going to be a harder sell. While it’s fair to say some spouses “put up” with diapers putting out is the optional part. Most seem to exercise that option as you noted. In fact when I had further talks with my wife I volunteered that I wouldn’t try to convince her to wear with me and she seemed somewhat relieved. I don’t think it was necessarily out of disdain for wearing but rather not wanting to be the one that disappoints the other half.

I do wish my wife would be more involved , even wear , I do think if people would try it. get over the stigma of it there would a bunch who would accept it and enjoy it. for some reason it is just way to taboo for most to even give them a try.

I live/work in an ABDL household - diapers are completely normalized here.
14+ years ago I was living with a close friend ... he wasn't my boyfriend, but we where sleeping in the same bed. He didn't mind me using diapers, but after a couple attempts, he said they weren't for him.
A long long time ago, I also briefly lived in an all-gay furry apartment ( yay for the internet ) with 4 others while working on a project out in Ohio. No one minded me in diapers, however everyone knew about them before I moved in.

You’re right many of us would compromise. I thinks it’s also how it is framed when coming out. Are you confident and exude the vibe that you own it and it’s no big deal or is shrouded in shame and apology. Big difference in how the receiver will take it.

My wife wore and wet one night at a party we had when I was in college, at the time all I had were cloth diapersand plastic pants. I shared the bedroom with a good friend who was passed out. She would wear every once in a while when we were dating and about 20 years into our marriage, she made me stop wearing them, but would wear the diapers and plastic pants, for my excitement to be intimate, (sometimes have a good time if u know what I mean) , then everything stopped. My problem is I need diapers in some way to be excited, so its been 10 years now without anything because she HATES diapers, she sees them as my mistress, which I understand, but I can't do anything to change that (36 years of therapy for me because I was supposed to stop) at least divorce is off the table (for now). It’s been my experience that when I fantasized about my wife doing something and then she didn’t do it at all, or in the manner I was dreaming of, that it can cause problems in the relationship. Though this advise is dated as we were divorced nearly 30 years ago and she passed away a little over 2 years ago I think it’s still valid and you’re setting yourself up for a major disappointment. Seldom does reality rise to the level of our fantasies.

My boyfriend has worn for me a few times. He was pretty willing to wear my cloth diapers, but he found them kind of hot and uncomfortable, and honestly they didn't do much for me so we only tried that a few times.

Then he did plastic backed diapers twice. The first time we were both a bit drunk and he offered to wear "the diaper with the foxes on it" (meaning the cloth one), so I agreed and put a plastic one on him, then drew foxes on it with a permanent marker.
