Going tomorrow morning for my annual physical. I have not worn a diaper to prior physicals however after talking to my therapists about my desires to integrate diapers more into my daily life, she has been very encouraging and supportive of the idea. In fact my therapists feels that if I am happier/healthier as someone who wears diapers then there is nothing wrong with wearing to the doctor as long as I am not doing anything inappropriate in the diaper or in the presence of my doctor.

It just so happens that I have also been dealing with sudden BM flare ups and a few accidents which I think are signs of IBS. In my past visits I've always had to undress and put on one of those gowns so I know that my doctor will very likely see my diaper. If asked why I have a diaper on I will tell her I started wearing them for IBS and found them to be comfortable and prefer the protection over no protection. I am also curious if she will conduct a testicular exam. She has conducted this test the past two physicals I have had but it does require me to pull my underwear down so not sure how it will go with a diaper on.

I am feeling immense amounts of relief to be taking this next step. And just to assure those who may not agree with my actions I can promise you that I will be courteous and respectful to my doctor knowing that this is a fetish and also a lifestyle for me. I will not do anything to jeopardize this community and my diaper will be dry for the entirity of the visit. I will report back tomorrow and let everyone know how the exam went.

I'm sure you'll be fine. I've worn my thick crinkly diapers to all kinds of doctors and theropests. I'm glad a few times I've worn. I've got oab and urge Incontinence. I became an ABDL before becoming incontinent. Strange order but that's how it worked out for me. Good luck at your doctors!

I am so happy for you!! From my personal experience, I’d just come out and tell the doctor why you’re wearing a diaper. That way they won’t feel the need to look into, or treat your IBS. Unless that is what you want. I was up front with my doctor about my diapers, and it has never been a problem. She’s even given me pointers on creams and such.

I can’t wait to hear about your trip!

Well my appointment went very well. No testicular exam but I did have to wear one of those gowns that opens at the back. My doctor did notice and referred to them as “protective underwear”. I told her they were originally for my flare ups but now just a security blanket for me. She did not bat an eye or have any issue with it. Overall I am glad I did it and can rest easy now at future appointments.

I know this hasn't been an overly exciting post but for the two of you that responded thank you for your comments!

I have a physical tomorrow and am planning to tell my doctor about my love for diapers and that for the last 4 years i wear and wet at night. I thought about wearing to the office but just am not sure. Any feedback would be very helpful. I will be embarrassed but also very respectful and will do nothing to bring a negative to the ab/dl community

There's nothing wrong wearing diapers to the doctors , i worn them to my specialist back then when i was 16 after my school camp for my bedwetting issue. I found out many kids who had bedwetting issue although i am the oldest kid there and because my doctor appointment was right after school camp i ended up wearing my night time diaper to the doctor. The embarrassing part was my diaper was wet when i was told to take off my pants for the check up so being 16 at the time and standing there in the room having several other adults see me in my wet diaper was quite humiliating. However they are professionals and nothing much was being said , i don't know if they gossip behind my back but certainly not in front of me.

In the medical community, diapers are so common there's nothing to gossip about unless an ABDL were to act inappropriately. They see it all the time so there's no reason for them to bring up the fact that one of their patients wear diapers.

Over the last few months I have been in hospital regularly (as part of a medical trial) but just last week I attended hospital for a what was until the pandemic a yearly MOT to see how my disability is affecting my life while there I have a session with a psychiatrist/psychologist this one was new to me and since the new ward isn’t as private as the older one I told her I was ABDL and told her that if she wanted to know more she can research it herself (obviously I did this respectfully) though it does make me wonder how our discussion next year will go!

I wore a diaper to my annual physical last week. I was wearing a betterdry, unlike the previous appointment when I wore an ABDL diaper. When my doctor lifted my shirt to look at my back, she said no cutsie diapers today? I said no, just plain white and boring. She already knows about me and could care less.

It was at my doctor's suggestion that I start wearing some type of protection when we first discussed my urgent bladder. Although I haven't been back to see her since I wouldn't feel uncomfortable showing up wearing diapers.
