I see lots of art I like with caretakers OCs, and these give me ideas for commissions I'd want with my OC and a caretaker. But since I don't know anyone with a caretaker OC, I'm wondering about making another OC for a caretaker. I've been hoping to find a friend (or someone closer) with whom I'd want to do commissions using their OC(s), but it seems unlikely I'll find someone like that anytime soon. It seems a little sad for me to just make my own OC instead of trying to find someone to do commissions with. I don't mean to devalue anyone who uses many of their own OCs in the same commission. I just don't want to give the impression I've given up on making friends by using my own OCs. I also don't want to demotivate myself from making friends by taking the easy solution to getting caretakers in my commissions. I don't want to lose opportunities to connect with new people. What do you all think?
