Switching to nappies full time

Hi, so lately I've been having an urge incontinence problem. No cause has been found, same as when they investigated when I was a child, although the doctor thinks it could be a side effect of medication I'm on, and offered other medication, but I had a bad feeling and turned him down.

I've been getting increasingly anxious after some close shaves about not making it to a loo in time. At home I wear a nappy most of the time anyway, it is just when I am out and about at work or socialising that I've been caught short and nearly wet myself (only once or twice, this is not a regular weekly occurrence or anything.) Because it's rare, I've been avoiding wearing nappies out and about. But now I've finally decided to do it. People here advised me to get Tena Slip Maxi, and I've bought wide cut jeans (thankfully they're in fashion) and I'm going to transition to wearing nappies 24/7.

My reasons: I am not anxious when I am in a nappy and I am way more relaxed and happy, way more. It feels like I'm meant to do this, somehow.

Worries though are that I will become dependant, and won't be able to stop wearing nappies if I change my mind.

Is this a valid worry? Is there anything I should know upsides and downsides wise before I start wearing nappies all day every day? Thanks for reading :)

This is a great question and I will be honest about my experience with transitioning to full time use of diapers.I’ve been using 247 for 5 years and I have become more confident with using and wearing diapers I have also learned that when using the diaper 247 people will eventually realize that you are diapered and you will find that over time you will get used to using diapers and that dependency will develop into a reality

Well that is interesting thank you for your reply. I only realised how much the fear of wetting myself in public was affecting me though until I started wearing them outside (I already wore mostly all the time at home.) I feel so much better wearing them. However now I am becoming paranoid of people noticing I am wearing a nappy, but it's not too bad. I am as discreet as possible, although one person noticed when I had forgotten I was in a nappy and tied my coat round my waist which must have shown it. If any close friends or relatives ask I'm going to say I am using nappies for private medical reasons and leave it at that.

If you're going to go for the Tena Slip Maxi I might recommend the Tena Slip Active Fit Maxi which is plastic backed

I think Tena Slip 'Active Fit' is better because it's plastic backed. You might prefer cloth backed of course, but if not, and you're not a too heavy wetter, l would suggest the 'Active Fit Plus' as it's thinner, more disceet and easier to live with.👍🏽

So I've done the whole 24/7 thing before and here's everything you need to know.

Wearing crinklz for 6 months no one noticed or cared enough to say anything (I did have a black bodysuit onesie on eliminating exposure risks)
Don't mess in public I'm ABDL myself and if I see someone doing that just because they'd get a good telling from me.
Wetting on purpose is fine done it myself just know it will slowly smell so plenty of baby powder!
Hold your bladder for a few minutes before going and you'll never become dependent but it does get easier.

Ultimately 24/7 killed my desire to wear and enjoy little space for a few months it's the dream of 24/7 that keeps it alive in practically you become overexposed, understimimulated and nappies just feel like underwear.

I have lived in tena active fit maxi and ultima for 9 years now. They are a really good, reliable nappy for daily use. I put a booster amd plastic pants on too but thats just me. 😁

I'm very lucky. I get the maxi active fit from the NHS and ive just learned, that although my health authority are charging suppliers from tena, they are going to continue my maxi prescription for the forseable future so happy days. 😁
