This is the new Luvs size 7 (the one labeled "It wasn't me") vs. a Size 6 Luvs purchased a year ago (labeled "I woke up like this")... Both weigh exactly the same, so I'm not expecting one to be more absorbent. The new Size 7 seems to stretch to a length LESS than the old Size 6. Proctor and Gamble is up to their same old bate and switch game. If you haven't ran out to buy these "New Size 7" diapers, don't bother.

Thanks for the pictures and measurements, @Dr2theC. Unfortunate but not surprising. I’m sure I’ll still end up with some of these, but I won’t be rushing to order them.

not surprisingly. Optimisation is the name of the game. If research shows you need only half of the materials to achieve your goals, then why use twice as much?

More pictures coming, I have Libero Comfort Size 7 and Pampers Size 8 coming from across the pond. Elsewhere on ADISC I've seen that the size 8 are larger.

That is so unfortunate for bigger kids. :( But I am a bit worried that some ABDL's may be causing Pampers not to make bigger diapers or pull-ups.

Kids are getting bigger too

what do you think ABDL's are causing them to not make bigger sizes?

Is it possible their intention was not to make a bigger diaper, but rather to give more targeted sizing within the size range they already established?

I don't think it has anything to do with that.

It's more than likely not financially worth it for them to make a whole new diaper machine dedicated to making proper size 7s and 8s.

Size 7 to adult small is a really scarce market, plus most parents probably have already just switched to adult size small options anyways and just deal with it being oversized. Probably due to insurance/medical providing only that option.

Also it's a age range where people probably grow out of sizes really quickly. Just sucks for the few that don't.

Honestly size M+ besides xl doesn't realize how good they have it. Not only do adult small diapers rarely get made but majority are pretty bad honestly. Not to mention a size 8 diaper if made properly would just end up basically being a adult small, so the fact that pretty much a good portion of the market ignores everything between like 22"-28" sucks.

Honestly I wish I knew what to do to fix the issue. It's completely based on revenue, so it doesn't leave much incentive for companies to focus.

Pretty much the only solution is to make your own company in that segment and corner the market for true size 7s to adult small. But Good luck getting a investor unless you can some how spin a profitable solution they buy.
