Molicare diapers

The Molicare Super Plus was a great diaper! First started using them in 2000. Like Abena and Tena and many other brands, they have gone downhill since then.

Ugh... Another one bites the dust!

My speciation, Molicare is more interested in the institutional market, shaving costs to make their product better for penny pinchers. They used to have a pretty premium diaper (for the time!), it's sad to hear they may no longer be.

Continuing the speciation, Depends caters to the retail market and for people too mortified about their own issues to learn there are much better products out there if they suffer from more profound incontinence. Most of their r&d goes into what people think they need and appears socially more acceptable, not necessarily practical. Not to mention the amount of $ they spend on advertising (brand recognition) and prominent shelf placement in every store... The only thing dependable about depends is you'll need to change more often than more appropriate and ultimately more affordable solutions they don't want you to know exist!

We had two packages. One was good, the other not so good, had three rips. We discussed it and decided not to buy the Molicare plastic-backed blue ones anymore, but will use up the bad package with plastic pants as a precaution.
