Okay just hear me out here. Got to remember that Goku is not an earthling he's a Saiyan. Yes he was raised by grandpa Gohan for a few years but that doesn't change Goku's biology. Saiyan's as a whole would not feet or ideals when it comes to parenting. let's be real chi chi wears the pants in that family. Vegeta is the exception to the rule due to being royalty and I'm sure King Vegeta probably kept his distance. Saiyan's seem to have a sink or swim type of mentality when it comes to parenting
