I'm getting towards the bottom of my stash, and that means it's diaper purchase time. I'm feeling like something new this time around, but I don't know what. In general, I want a diaper with an obvious (the bigger the better, and color changing > fade when wet) wetness indicator, good wicking (I tend to flood a lot), and a lot of swelling (these last two don't usually go hand in hand...). My go-to diaper is the Northshore Supreme, it's got all of the above except the swelling is mediocre. I dislike the Megamax, it doesn't wick well enough and doesn't even last as long as the Supreme for me most of the time. I do like the substantial nature of the Megamax and the swelling though, and I sometimes use it for messing. Betterdry has great swelling but a disappointing wetness indicator and still not great wicking. I love the thick dual wetness indicator on the Tranquility ATN, but the diaper is very thin.

If you can afford it, order Tena Ultima from Rearz.
Plastic backed, thin when dry but swell up nicely due to a boat load of SAP in them.

I always have a pack at home.
