I used to double up almost every time I wore. The added bulk really helps me feel babyish, particularly if I'm wearing them underneath a onesie or footie sleeper.
Lately I've been doing it less though, as I find it a tad wasteful. Normally I only change when my nappy is well used. Therefore in order to make the most of the extra capacity, I found myself sitting around in a wet nappy for ages. This wasn't great for my skin, particular when the inner one gets saturated and doesn't hold the moisture in any more.
It's nice to indulge on occasion though. And I recently got my first pack of Aquanauts; they're great.
