Has anyone else noticed that Goodnights are way more comfortable on the skin than your typical Depends, Always, or store brand? or, is it just me? Is there any adult-sized equivalent (I can fit into the Goodnights Girls XL but the absorbency is not high enough)?

no I don't use pullups of any kind
 
I haven't tried goodnites because I am not sure about the fit. I use both depends and always pull ups; however, I find them to be very comfortable.

Are the goodnites noticably softer? Will they fit 40" hips, 34" waist?
 
No pullups. Never in Goodnights!!!

I am not sure about my hip size but I am a 34" size in shorts and pants. I am AMAB and am going through a form of HRT so my figure is not a "typical" male or female figure. The packaging says they fit sizes 14 - 20 and 140+ lbs.
As for softer, I think so.
