Just wondering, what book have you read lately that just knocked your socks off?

I just finished Ghosts of War by Brad Logan and it was pretty good

I listen to audio books while driving my lorry, the Expeditionary force series by Craig Alanson have been absolutely fantastic. Some of the best writing I have seen in a long time.

I finished Terry Pratchett's discworld series about a month ago. Haven't picked anything up since.

I just got done reading Circe by Madeline Miller. I loved it. Now I'm reading Native Tounge by Carl Hiaasen.

Well worth it, you won't be disappointed

I do enjoy reading and quite a bit, but completely offtopic with regard to this forum.

I really like Andreas Eschbach, Charlotte Link and Simon Beckett at the moment.

"Lord of All Things" (Eschbach), "Die Täuschung" (not yet translated, Link) and "The Scent of Death" (Beckett) are all mind-blowing. :)
