Ah that's a good thing about the 83 it's all mechanical no electric fuel pump. I have a 1990 f150 I drive everyday and the day I bought it I was told not to use 4low because something would bind up and I'd have to take it in to get it fixed. 4high works fine but I've never had 4low, thank you for giving me something I can look into.
