I don't like to spend too much on "upgrades" anymore, The black bass in my profile pic is nothing but mods. If you wanna read up on some of the stuff I've done, I posted a blog recently about all of it and some stuff I'm doing in the future. All in all, I have literally thousands of dollars put into my gear.

When I graduate I plan on doing some pretty crazy things, I don't like to work on expensive guitars though because the thought of resale value is always lingering in my mind. I like my instruments to be reliable and sound decent, wth a few upgrades and years of tweaking my setup and finding the right strings for the job, it all works out in the end.

To be honest, these days I play my modified squier strat more than I play my Ibanez guitars. I have a '96 ibanez rx-60 that I modded with new pickups, a full size tremolo, new tuners and a few other bits and pieces. But I still pick up that strat, I got it for $100 at traders here in St.Johns. In the next few months I'm gonna get a new trem block for it and a new set of GFS lil killer pickups for it. All in all, those upgrades will cost about $100, but will be so worth it

Haha, that sucks. Thank god for Ibanez guitars though. Some of the best feeling guitars out there in my opinion. But I just cant get over the stock pickups they come with. I like the powersound pickups they used before 2000 or so, but I always end up putting new pickups in the newer Ibanez guitars.

Yeah haha. The band went down. It pretty much died a few months ago, but we're all still good friends and we still jam together. I'm doing pretty good, I don't play as much as I used to. But I try to get in at least 3 hours of bass a day if I can and maybe an hour of guitar.

It's not going too bad. I guess. I have a lot more time to do things because I'm only doing one course this semester. It gives me more time to spend with my girlfriend. How are things going with you?

Are you talking abut the, if you could change your name thread? If so, then no not as in Jack Sparrow, That would be taking being a fan a bit to far, so it would be really creepy.

Yeah, I hear ya. It's nice that now I can have all the privacy I want but still remain close with my family. Gives me lots of time to decide what I want to do in life.
It's too bad that right now I think the band I'm in took a turn for the worse and is headed down the crapper, ahh well...I guess it was in the cards from th start.

Ahh, no harm done at all... still I hated when my family used to delete files off the computer without me knowing. But now I have my own apartment and my own laptop! Sweet!

Well, I have always found it fun to play in band's. The only problem with being in a band around here is they never seem to get off the ground haha.

I'm doing fairly well, would have been better but the band I play with had to cancel our jam for today and I won't be able to practice with them for another week. Also I gotta pack up my stuff and go back to St.Johns tomorrow.

Haha, thanks for the tips on spotting the differences between gibsons and epiphones, I usually don't look for that kind of stuff.

Theres quite a few newfies on here after just doing a quick search, never realized there were this many actually. I also never realized how many were on here that were pretty close to my age, go figure.
