You will see everything from Star Trek/Wars to anime and comics to cartoons to steampunk. Anything nerdy, you will see. On Saturday is when the majority of the panels will be, most people will be there, etc.

Glad to hear you're okay other than having to protect cows from roving wild canines. We have theoretical coyotes near my parents' place but if they're still around, I don't think they manage much in the way of packs. More likely ones or twos that pick off wandering cats or dogs and the odd opossum. Around here, we don't see much wilder than raccoons, although we did have a bear make its way through our neighborhood some years back, which gave everyone a start.

I hope all goes well with your heifers. Everyone needs a helping hand now and again and they probably appreciate it, provided the hand isn't too cold

I had to look up "calving out the heifers". My ancestors (or even my cousins on my dad's side) would probably be disappointed in what a city slicker I am not just knowing it. They were more horse guys but I'm sure they had at least passing familiarity with that. It sounds like work that would keep you very busy if you had more than a couple cows. I once rode a cow as a kid if that counts for anything. Pretty sure it doesn't.

It's been a busy but pretty cow-free week for me. I found out that I'm going to have to do some traveling next month for work, which is both interesting and a hassle. If our destination isn't a snowy wasteland, I'll count it as a win
