When a grown-up telling you what to do feels like the iron hand of the law, with just as serious consequences for breaking it.

When you ask your partner "Whaddya gonna do, spank me??" in the hopes they get the hint.

Or when you find yourself awkwardly feigning disinterest in the baby isle, heh. Kid Cottontail was always Mom's little helper at the grocery story, and my internal compass needle was always pointing toward the shelves of Pampers and Huggies products. I'd feel this surge of excitement whenever Mom was walking in that direction, but inevitably she'd walk right past the diapers without slowing, and then it was all I could do to keep following her.

Same thing with diaper ads on TV: You know you're an *BDL when you're the only one in the room NOT watching them, heh. Gotta make sure Mom, Dad, and Sis know that the one thing in the world you have absolutely zero interest in is diapers!

When someone casually mentions anything about Depends, incontinence, or old people problems and you wish you could give advice, but you don't.

When someone says how cute a baby/toddler is wearing nothing but a diaper, and you disagree just so they won't know how cute you really think it is.

When someone comments about a child being too old for diapers and you want to say there is no such thing as too old for diapers.

When someone confesses to still having a stuffie or doing some other ABDL-adjacent behavior and you reassure yourself that ABDLism isn't as far from mainstream as you often think it is.

I use to stock shelves at a grocery store. My favorite part was stock the baby dippers and things. It was also took me a lot longer than the other ones.
