You probably have a job :p. xD LOL. Unfortunately I had to save pennies for months before I could even dream about what I have right now, thanks to being unemployed.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to get a few already-picked-out desired upgrades.

I'll have to take a photo of mine when I get home. I made my desk, it is like a transformer with all the crap attached to it. the thing is tiny.

Yummm geek porns.

That's... a lot of fricking externals. I'd just put them ALL into one machine and throw a server together. One networked machine with all that storage MUST be more efficient than... 5+ externals. O_O

Mac :). I have a PowerBook G4, but the hard drive died and it's impossible to find a decent PATA drive nowadays considering that SATA took over >>

... O_O uh oh, a WoW box.

So, what're all the specs on those machines? Really the only ones I can have a significant idea about are the eMac and iMac, the other (4?) I have no clue.... :)

Too bad Pluto (my weather box) died on me a few weeks ago. It wasn't much, a 1.5GB DDR RAM + 1.6GHz AMD but it did have a decent 6600 PCI-e in it which let Google Earth and my behemoth of plugins for it completely pimp it out. I could do a whole segment on the news with it =D. But, the bastard's motherboard decided to die out (not really, I accidentally pulled on the keyboard a bit too hard and everything went poof from there).

The iMac is my primary video editing machine and the eMac is the recording station.

iMac - 1.83ghz C2D 2gb RAM - home of all those externals
eMac - 1.25ghz PowerPC G4 1gb RAM - recording station

I got those and all the audio/video capture equipment on the rack from my boss.

Two bottom computers in the tower from left to right.

AMD Sempron 2.4ghz, 1gb RAM, GeForce 6200gt, 250gb internal drive
AMD Duron 1.2ghz, 512mb RAM, Onboard Video, 80gb internal, 40gb internal

Computer sitting on the floor in front of rack with no side on is my main rig.

Intel C2D E8400 @3.8ghz, 8gb RAM, GeForce GTX260 896mb Video Card, Antec300 Case, 750gb internal drive, 80gb SSD internal drive (OSes).

I'm trying to get my brother to switch rooms with me (he's got the bonus room) and then once I'm in there I'll be able to properly setup my 5.1 surround sound speakers and put them around like my home theater system is. I'm also thinking about seeing if my boss would help me get a Mac Pro that can handle 4-6 monitors and trading in all those external drives for internal drives and network them. Or I might just attach them to a server I'm currently building and share them so that the Macs and my PCs can access them. And their actually all 80-90% full as my boss likes me to keep everything I do for him lol.

My main rig can handle 5-6 WoW clients at full settings w/o lagging, which was why it was built but then I got bored of WoW Multiboxing so now it's just a web dev machine lol.

-.-'

I for one despise WoW but that rig most definitely can play CoD4 and CoD5 (my main FPS games -- I even co-run my own clan for them). Doing it only for web is a waste! D= haha

Hmm this is going to be fuuuuuuuuuuun.

I'm sure some of you have seen my "Your Backpack" thread. But for the next three weeks I'll be migrating to various places with my two laptops. (Yes, arn't I greedy :p you've all got one more desktop! It's only fair.). When I get back to uni to do my exams. I doubt I'll play around much. Haven't got too much time to waste. Also, I've gotten accustom to using these two laptops alone.

I don't know what I'll be doing over the summer holidays due to the fact that I won't have much of a desk or any furniture to setup my equipment. I might buy something, or build my own cheap desk. To use. So when I go back to uni. I will have to setup all my machines again in my new flat. Or where ever I managed to grab a place. Still need to get a new place to stay for next year though.

Anyway, He's what I'll be using for next two months.

HP 2133 and a Dell Inspiron 1501. Both wired up to the ethernet switch, which needs replacing. The Transformer makes high pitch noises very loudly. I think I dropped it. (the plastic earth pin on it is broken off anyway, Now it's not double insulated! with the hole that it has.) It connects to an wireless Access Point. I Brought this to mainly bridge with the local wireless network to give me internet. The laptops have wireless. But if something goes wrong. It's easier to connect to the network via ethernet than wireless. Under Linux anyway.

HP 2133, typically runs Ubuntu, but now XP as I messed up the Xconf for which I forget where I placed the backup, I named it something silly which doesn't help. But it came with SuSe linux, which wasn't HP's best choice of OS. But I guess they wanted some form of support behind a cheaper alternative to Windows Vista.

The HP laptop, runs Linux. It has XP, I think. *Scratches head* Oh yeah, it does. I booted into it and thought how bad the resolution is and that it just feels odd to be using XP again >.<.

Also, I ALWAYS use the CPU clock scaling feature and set it to the lowest possible recommended value. As to keep the laptop cool and stop that annoying fan noise. It's nice to use silent machines. The only time i crank it up is Flash animations and videos. By god I hate the FLV codec. Mpeg2 FTW :p.

Sorry, no specs. I won't post them If I have to look into it. And I won't post half arsed stuff.

@UnMarth: What I forgot to include were my three laptops and a shit load of old computer parts in my closet lol. Ok, ok, one laptop is my brothers and then theres a family pc downstairs. But they're all like mine because, well, I'm the only one who knows anything about them besides open FireFox and surf lols.

Yes, it took about 3 months to get my family to use Firefox :(

My parents actually grounded me for a week because I installed Firefox on my step-father's laptop. My mother said that it was "a virus program" lol. The next day after bitching about it I had my uncle knock some sense into her. My mother still doesn't use Firefox, but my step father does -- ironically. xD

That's exactly how I wanna get my room setup, but with more computers lol. Also, Watchmen FTW! Is that an iTouch or iPhone?

I found this nice TV on sale for $320 at Best Buy but it's only a 30" :( I just may go out and buy a 1080p 40" or bigger to run my PC, Home Theater system, etc off of.

NO! It's an iTouch, as in I touch you!

And Fallen, we've got the exact same lamp, almost the exact same desk. Except I've got a huge server rack behind the desk and I'm in a super, tiny, small ass room with a bed in it :(

How big is your space? I am a big home theater dude (I run a 32" for day viewing and a 90" projector for everything else running through a 4x2 matrixing switch) and that fact is depending on viewing habits and space you won't need to go to 1080p or to a larger TV. In reality a higher quality 720p 32" TV will blow away a 40" 1080p TV in the same price range(this does depend on the price range). In fact if the room is small enough going to a 40" will be worse(I know it seems blasphemous but it is really true.) My 32" is only 720 but at my viewing distance 1080p pretty much looks identical. However if I was sitting 3-4 feet closer it would be a good upgrade.

Room is kinda small, but it'd be for my PC, gaming, home theater as well so 1080p works better for computers to my knowledge.

But yea, I might see if my brother wants to swap rooms as he's got a over garage room. So, if that happens I'll have a corner for my computer equipment, and be able to GET MORE TO XD, one for my home theater setup and then a small bed in the other corner lols.
