Just a bit of fun. Who in your opinion, simply reeks of cool? It can be absolutely anyone you like. But give a reason why.



This is Lionel Messi. I think he's undeniably cool because he's such a fantastic football player. The best in the world in my opinion. Yet, he has good values and comes across as being very down to Earth.

You can pick more that one if you like.

A lot of people I know mention people like Kurt Cobain, Thom Yorke, Henrik Larsson, Jimi Hendrix, Che Guevara and Slash.

If it doesn't have to be a real person then it is either Light Yagami or Lelouch Lamperouge in my book. They both have the ability to completely own anyone else.

An aside, but I *hate* the commercialization of football. These days, I know Arsenal as "AIG" and Manchester United as "Vodafone." Or maybe it's the other way 'round.

If I had to guess, I'd say that this footballer plays for "Unicef."

Grr.

I'm going to say that James Burke is the coolest of them all.

Arsenal are sponsored by Emirates and Man U are sponsored by AIG. Football clubs need sponsors for money. I'd prefer there to be no sponsors on football shirts, but sponsors help clubs immensely in financial terms so such is life.

Unicef is a charity that FC Barcelona pay to have that logo on their shirt. That isn't commercialisation at all. It's doing a good deed by promoting a charity.

Football is the most popular sport in the world, and yet I don't think it's nearly as commercialised as the NFL and the NBA.

Hang on, then, who wears the orange Vodofone jerseys?

I understand the need for club sponsorship (you've got to pay millions of quid out to players somehow) but still think it cheapens the game. I'll agree that the NFL and NBA are more commercialized and "in-bed" with sponsors than football, but to my knowledge football is the only sport (no, I'm not counting NASCAR) in which players themselves are treated as ad-space. The second-most billboarded players, I think, come from golf, but it's much less obtrusive.

Rem was too sentimental. She got attached to Misa. She KNEW lLight was manipulating her, and still did it. It only proves my point, Light was able to kill a god of death. Light FTW.

PS-I'm pretty sure Rem is a girls.

Man U used to be sponsored by Vodafone. Also, at the risk of being pedantic, you clearly don't know Arsenal and Man U by their sponsors as when you originally stated that you chose to use the clubs correct names.

Football is not the only sport that players are used as ad space. Rugby, tennis, snooker, pool, darts, squash, ski-ing, snowboarding, skateboarding, European basketball, cricket, squash, ten pin bowling, Formula 1, Moto GP and many more sports use the players/competitors as advertising space. It's a part of sport now. The most important thing however, will always be the competition.

Even Michael Jordan in the NBA endorses products. So you could argue that he is used as ad space.

(Yes, I just checked my death-note fun guide (nerd...) and it has her listed as female)

I agree. Light was being a manipulative douch-bag. However, he had to be to create the perfect world. I also hate Misa... stupid, stupid person. Yes, Light wouldn't get as far as he did without Rem, but Rem was just part of his plan.
