But seriously, I started wearing adult diapers very recently. Financial ability, the ability for discretion, and gaining some confidence were the reasons I was finally able to pull the trigger and start wearing. I've had this interest consciously since I was a teenager. However, I'm not entirely sure I realized / decided I wanted to wear diapers until a while after I knew I very much liked liked looking at fanart of anime and game characters in diapers

YakuiAndOzoi is right as I was cloth diapered as an infant since that was the norm in the mid ‘50s. I had an affinity for plastic pants from as far back as I can remember, probably toddlerhood. But diapers I didn’t come to try until the mid ‘90s when I placed an order with AC Medical for plastic pants and I included a pair of cotton diaper pants and a cotton prefold. My association with diapers didn’t last long that time and they were soon purged. Then a little over 7 years ago I became dual incontinent due to a seizure that I had adding to the limited urinary incontinence that was related to my cervical spinal injury and resulting two level fusion. This got me started with disposables pull-ups to deal with my condition soon followed by disposable four tape diapers. The cost of disposables was raising the dickens with fixed SSDI fixed income so within a few months I went to what my wife and I had economically diapered our children with, cotton diapers, safety pins, and plastic pants. Initially I began with cotton contours, but have supplemented them with cotton prefolds as of late. I’ve also substituted Snappi(s) for the safety pins about a year ago. To increase absorbency, and to ease cleanup, I augment my cloth diapers with a folded terry bath towel as a soaker and a folded terry hand towel as a liner.

I started wearing a Cloth nappies and Plastic pants because of unary incontinence caused by a bulging disc. I wear both old fashion, clothes, nappies and plastic pants. Also modern day cloth nappies.

I've had an interest in diapers almost 52 years. I when I was 5 I saw this box of Kimbies diapers at my aunt and uncles house and a switch flipped on. I had to have one of those diapers and I devised a plan in my 5 yr old head to get one that very day.
That switch never flipped off. I have been wearing diapers off and on since then.
In my teens with the onset of puberty the urge to wear diapers became stonger. I had my first sexual experience...aka ejaculated..in a diaper. Since then my diaper wearing has been steady.

I'm not sure how to answer this. Like everyone, my first diaper was pinned on me when shortly after birth. My mother continued to pin my diapers on before going to bed until I was 17 and stopped bedwetting. Once I stopped wetting my bed I no longer had an excuse to wear diapers so I didn't. But a year later, when I came home from college I pinned an old diaper on, put on a pair of my old rubber pants and went to bed. It felt so good to be have a diaper on again that I played with myself, fell asleep and woke up the next morning and my diapers were wet just like they used to be before I stopped wetting my bed. That marked the moment when I knew I wanted to wear as an adult. I had started playing with myself when I was 12 and all of my sexual experiences involved diapers, wetting and playing with myself. Now I wear diapers and rubber pants full time, and most of my sexual activities involve wearing diapers.

You beat me to it! But also seriously, I thought about diapers a lot over a lot of years and toyed with peeing in my pants now and then... but I was about 35 before I got up the nerve to actually buy some and try it.

I voted 20-40 since that's when the current streak started but I haven't had a completely diaper free decade in my life, since I had diapers all the time until 3 or so, diapers or pullups at night until 6ish, and pullups sometimes until 11-12 (intermittent wet beds for close to a decade after that). But though my 20s had the least amount of diaper related activity, I did buy a couple pairs of Goodnites TruFit and refill pads, and while the main intent was to use them around a "certain time of the month" I didn't exclusively use them for that so I think it still sort of counts. And then of course the current streak started when I was 31.

I've been fascinated with the ABDL space for over 20 years, since I was about 9 or 10. It started with some messing accidents as a kid (you can see in my About Me page in the profile) got me very interested in messing my pants, and that devolved into wanting to poop a diaper. I never did during that time but I was fascinated by it. I also would save most poops I had coming to go in private and poop in my pants and smash and enjoy it. Regarding wearing, I only recently decided to actually explore the lifestyle and try out diapers myself. I love baby diapers, always have, especially Pampers as you can see. I currently wear baby diapers as stuffers, pampers huggies and luvs, but I've also tried GoodNites XL which fit me surprisingly well, and also some bad Attends from Walgreens. I have ConvertUps coming in a few days so am looking forward to that, and I ordered some ABDL diaper samples that I'll be picking up tomorrow to try, which should be very exciting to try.

Aside from my recent foray into diapers, I remember as a kid after I was potty trained, I briefly wore some pull ups around like age 6 due to constipation issues. That didn't last long and I never really sought out diapers after that point even though they probably would've been beneficial with all the constipation issues I had as a kid.

It's interesting to see all the age ranges going on. I envy the people that were able to continue at an early age. I often think back and wondered what it would have been like if I asked or did something to get put back in diapers. I never acted on it and continue to keep it private.

To be fair, I knew I was interested around 17+ or so; I just never got the chance to start wearing until my 20s. It seems a lot of people here who didn't start until later have had a similar experience!

I became incontinent as the result of a surgical mishap when I was 14 years old in 1956 and had to start wearing diapers just as I was entering high school. Of course in those days, nothing was available except cloth diapers and plastic pants.

I wore diapers as a baby(duh) and up until like 10-11 years old. When I was in my early 20s, like 23 I injured my spine and developed IC. And started with diapers again. I’ve been dry for a few years but still like to wear them.

Started age 6/7 for me with stealing my siblings diapers. I had multiple siblings born back to back so I had a good supply for a while. I was also a bed wetter so I had my goodnites as well (that’s never fully gone away, it’s always come and gone).

Then when I was around 12 I started using my allowance to buy diapers secretly until eventually I stopped when I was 17. And finally when I was 19 I bought my first adult diapers

I was a little slower to acquire the taste than you...at six we watched short old movies with battle scenes and armies in the 50's and these civil diaper armies were depicted in 5 minute movies, so a friend and I waged war with stick ponies, and then decided on uniforms. He had a large family, tv was in the basement where we saw the shorts and there were a lot of babies in the family....well, the soldiers wore diapers and we mimicked them with supplies on hand. The interest never diminished but did stop for long stretches for various reasons.

I started to have fantasies about being put back into nappies when I was about 14. However, having lived a rather sheltered life I thought there was something seriously wrong with me I often wonder if a sexual abuse experience at 11 caused me to crave the safety diapers offer as their tricker to remove than boxers. But when I was in my late 20’s I found out about ABDL by accident and realised although the majority of the world might think there is something wrong with me I’m not the only person who feels like this. It took me a while to work up the courage to buy my first set of nappies (I was afraid I wouldn’t like it and I have a good memory) but remembering the first time I put a nappy on. It was a revelation and since then I’ve had some amazing experiences my first wetting, my first messing, drinking out a baby bottle, sucking on a pacifier but better than any of that is talking to you all and reading the stuff you post on here. Maybe it sounds cliche but seriously you guys are the only people I can talk to about this and that really means a lot.
