Twenty years ago Hersey phased out the semi-sweet chocolate for the special dark. Not an improvement. My favorite now is the Goya dark chocolate.

Does anyone remember Mary Jane candy. I used to eat those along with all the regular candy bars we still have. Presently, my favorite is Reese's Peanut butter cups.

One I remember from my childhood but I don’t remember seeing recently were milk bottles I think they might be in Haribo Starmix but since I don’t eat those regularly and I’m trying to cut down my sugar intake I’m not certain one of favourite sweets toady is Sherbet Lemons I was inspired to try them again after listening to a audiobook of the first Harry Potter book in which Albus Dumbledore says to McGongall ‘A sherbet lemon; they’re a muggle sweet I’m rather fond of’ and if it’s good enough for Dumbledore it’s good enough for me.

My all time favourite are winegums! 🥰😋
I don't buy them anymore, because I eat all of them straight away ! Then I feel sick...

Name of my favorite was rubber pacifier, don't laugh it's true, it was a kind of jelly in pacifier shaped with a plastic handle. Green and red but in the same taste.
Another one was a rod made of quark? or cottage cheese? covered with chocolate. First is not available nowdays but seconde is the favorite of my children too.

Would you believe that my favorite sweet, or at least sweet things are Mountain Dew and Dr. Pepper, but being diagnosed pre-diabetic a few years back I can’t let myself indulge in either. When I used to drive semi you would rarely see me without a 20 oz. or liter bottle of one or the other in my hand. I couldn’t drink coffee if I didn’t want to have to stop to wet a tire every 20 minutes so I drank soda pop to get my caffeine fix. For some reason I could go for hours without having to whiz drinking soda, but coffee went right through me. If I was to name a favorite sweet that’s not soda it may well be a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. I used to try to give them out to trick or treaters on Halloween, but would end up eating most of them myself to the point of near sickness.

I like those, but I can not find a sugar free version.
