I absolutely love this anime, and the second opening has been one of my favorites! This cover is so good, and I can't stop listening to it. It is my daily "pump myself up" type of song.

This record as a whole, but especially the titular song. Caravan - In the Land of the Grey and Pink.
Caravan very talented and highly innovative progressive/jazz-fusion band from Canterbury, UK, active most prominently in the 1970s.
Great to see such a wide range of tastes from some of the members of this site (y)

I love that anime too! Hell yeah!!!

The thing I love about music is that there's always a great tune that picks you up, and takes you away to a different place where you can lose yourself for a minute or two...

I haven't been able to get this tune out of my head all day. Yeah, it's a cheesy pop song... but the bongos are literally mesmerising, and the vocals and strings play out like a one-sided conversation of single-minded determination! Good vibes! :)

Hush now, child. And don't you cry.
Your folks might understand you, by and by.
Just...

Move on Up - Curtis Mayfield

I've got another tune stuck in my head. A foot-tapping one to make you get up on the dancefloor and throw some shapes... And it comes with a mind-bending sing-a-long chorus:

We vibrate at higher frequencies.
Welcome to our world and intro to
Fall into a space where there is no thought,
Just moments captured. Here we go.
We vibrate at higher frequencies.
Let us up inside of your head.
Just step inside our world of vibration;
Bump this from your birth to your deathbed.

This.

The new Arch/Matheos album that dropped this last May is simply amazing. The opening track really kicks things off.

On par with Arch/Matheos' "Vermilion Moons" is the last track off of the same album. An epic 13 minute track best described as a story about a boy who finds and adopts an abused puppy. Warning: paying close attention to the lyrics will induce tears. John Arch is a great poet and storyteller.

'Into the West', sung by the amazing Annie Lennox ('Sweet Dreams' is another!), from "The Lord of the Rings" soundtrack/movie

Everything I've loved in this life is already on the other side.
I can't wait to be reunited with them all.
Soon.

Right now it's Ride on by AC/DC: A very bluesy piece

It's another lonely evening
And another lonely town
But I ain't too young to worry
And I ain't too old to cry
When a woman gets me down
Got another empty bottle
And another empty bed
Ain't too young to admit it
And I'm not too old to lie
I'm just another empty head

What a beautiful song. I've been listening a lot to Karen Elson, Double Roses album and the last cut, "Distant Shore" Like you, everything I've loved in this life is already on the other side. I can say that death doesn't scare me.

I've been listening to this as it's the opening theme to the Netflix series, "Dark". It gave me the push I needed to start my next novel.
