What should adult diapers be called?

I heard that there's many different terms for adult diapers. Some people call them diapers/nappies, while others (especially in the medical community) call them briefs. Non-ABDL adult diapers are usually labeled as adult briefs, while ABDL adult diapers are usually labeled as adult diapers. Which term do you think adult diapers should be called?

Nappies is OK from my fellow wearers/users across the pond. But there's NO need to add anything else.

Does your mommy or daddy ask you if you ~pooped your adult diaper?~ Or ~wet your adult nappy?~
Of coarse not.
They ask you something like if you made a stinky diaper or did you go potty in your nappy.

It doesn’t make a whole lot of difference to me. If naming them with an innocuous term like brief or guard helps IC folks feel less awkward then I think that’s cool. Myself and many of you will have our own special way of referring to them, regardless of any commercial term. Because they form an important part of my little identity, they will always be nappies to me.

I’m British 🇬🇧 so I will usually use the term nappy although sometimes I use the term diaper. I understand for people who are IC using terms like briefs is probably important but for those of us who are AB and wear by choice the babyish terms probably help us feel more like a baby. I’d love to have a caregiver sniff dramatically and say ‘Did baby make a stinky in his nappy?’

simple diapers, nappy or luier is for adults.. here I call them pampers, as pampers7 for day use (betterdry7) and pampers10 for night use (betterdry10 or crinkles). Not call them anything use as been ignored. pampers girl or pampers boy.

Calling them briefs or anything else than Diapers or Nappies is an additional way to stigmatize incontinent people because you don't call an object by his right name. Don't tell you're wearing a diaper, it's a shame... Call it a brief... Ridiculous!

Small story: A few years ago, my mother had to go to hospital for a very sceptic infection (she survived). But when she start to recover, she had to wear diapers for a few days.

One day, I was with her when, hum, the bowels decided to work! She asked me to ask the nurse for a change which I did. When I came to the nurse office and said: my mother need a diaper change, she had a big bowel movement, they said ok and they open a cabinet with many drawers inside... One was labeled Pampers M and the other Pampers L !!!!! So the name of "adult diapers" in the Nurse office was labeled Pampers !!!
