I have a problem responding to this post. My favorite music genre is Happy Hardcore, the quality of the songs made between 1995 to 2005 are priceless. There are possibly over 100 core songs with an extreme heartwarming aspect to them. I've prepared for this question ahead of time, apart from the songs I look at as deeply influential to my soul, I can think of three songs.

DJ Recon - The Sun
CLSM - Timebomb
V.A.G.A.B.O.N.D. - Axis Mundi

Tough to do just three and put them in order but here’s what came to mind

1) Dream Warriors: My definition of a bombastic jazz style
2) Grand Master Flash: The Wheels of steel
3) Q Tip: Breathe and stop

Not sure I could put them in any order, and there's a few that run close to them, but generally my top three are;

Iron Maiden - Empire of the Clouds
Nightwish - The Greatest Show on Earth (live at Tampere)
Nightwish - The Poet and the Pendulum (live at Wembley)

At almost eighteen minutes each on average, it's safe to say I like my songs long 😅

Dante's Prayer is beautiful but so heavy, I can't listen to it too often...

This is definitely a tough question to answer... I don't think I can pick three current favorites. But I have had songs become very important to me, perhaps a "favorite", at different stages of my life.

In chronological order:
Here Comes The Sun - The Beatles / George Harrison
High Hopes - Pink Floyd
I Want To Live - John Denver

Some really good suggestions above! 😄 But... I don't know if I could ever pick any favourites. There are toooooo many genres, and too many good songs in each. My personal favourites change ten times a minute!

But... I just can't get the 2007 remix of this track out of my head at the moment. It was a pretty good song originally. But the remix has brought a much more "timeless" feel to it -- emphasising the driving bass-guitar and percussion, and balancing the vocals.

The vocals are incredible -- every consonant is timed like a percussive drum beat. The driving bass-guitar, the sinister synth, the jubilant brass instruments all combine to tell an emotional story. It sends shivers down my spine.

(And yeah -- I have weird tastes in music! 😅)

A song that I sometimes listen to when I'm feeling down is Dutch Flowerz by Skream.

It's a track that sounds really simple, and has a really calm optimism about it. The sound is really clean and refreshing. Again, the jubilant trumpets come in towards the end, and make everything all-right in the world.

I have way too many songs that I like. But if I had to choose.

Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana

The Wanderer - Dion

Time is on my Side - Rolling Stones

I listen to so many different genres its hard to choose favorites.

Hard decision. but if I were to choose:
1. My Heart will Go On (from Titanic)
2. I Don't Want to Miss a thing (from Armageddon)
3. Wannabe (Spice Girls)
