Wearing at work

I’m interested to know what brand/product people can recommend to wear to work. So far my searches on this topic haven’t turned up much, though I’m sure it has been discussed.

I wear overnight, and I was already on the fence about daytime wearing, but yesterday, I learned of some changes in my office and responsibilities that may make it more difficult to get to the men’s room quickly. I work in a professional setting. I’m only concerned about urinary accidents.

Which products are discrete, not too thick yet pretty absorbent, and quiet? I’m ok with having to change a time or two during the day. I prefer tabbed, PE-backed briefs, but I’m willing to consider a good performing “cloth” backed product. I’ve found a couple of Betterdry Day reviews that recommended those. Thanks!

I will wear Betterdry to work. In the office there is only a faint crinkle, but not noticeable. The diaper I wear every day is the Seni Quatro. It is cloth backed but it’s very comfortable and will take at least a couple settings. It’s silent and discreet under clothes.

Of course it also depends on your grade on incontinence. Will you solely use your diaper over the day or will you still be able to use sometimes the toilet? Seni Quatro is for sure a good choice, CF-backed but quite absorbent and comfortable. I personally use for the daytime Attends Flex (10), a belt-type diaper (CF) which also is very reliable for me (I only need 2 of them for all over the day) but which gives you also quick and easy access to the toilet if applicable!

Oh! I didn’t think about that. I do like the idea of being able to still use the toilet when I can make it. Definitely going to look at this option. Thanks!

I do Depends RealFit at work since I usually have just mild issues. I like that they don’t look like diapers. Rarely do I get leaks around the back of the legs. Tried to get away with cotton briefs yesterday, but that was a mistake :-(

1676652526297.pngBefore working from home, I used to use TENA Extra at the office. They're comfortable and good for one modest void.

1676652660043.pngSince my day protection is mostly to guard against IBS-d or for urinary if kept away from the toilet too long, I just wear cheap Equate brand (Walmart) briefs now. They are about half the cost of the pull-up. Frankly, I think the Equate briefs are better protection than the pull-up for IBS. For urinary, the Equate is good for one modest void (you get what you pay for).

For wearing the Equate briefs, since they are cloth-backed, I wear a snug fitting underwear brief over top (like a compression pant). It helps to keep everything in place. When you use the toilet, grab the briefs in the front and slide it down a bit, and then slip the rear end down after, and you're just as good as if you had a pull-up.

I wear only Bambino diapers to work. I wear any of their styles that have Velcro tabs so I can pull it down if I make it in time or for #2 if necessary.

One of the reasons I chose this diaper is for the fit and absorbency. I can usually last all day without needing a change. I’m in a professional office setting, so privacy and disposal are not available. If I do happen to need a change, I’ll either run home on lunch, or to Target if it’s later in the day.

These are also fairly quiet with jeans over them, but there’s enough ambient noise to cover it.

I am an active professional who generally works out of a home office in the morning and is out in the field in the afternoons. I wear the same diaper during the day (ConfiDry 24/7) as I do at night, except that during the day I use a large NorthShore booster and at night an extra-large booster. I wear plastic pants over my diaper day and night. I wear "relaxed fit" denim work pants (Duluth Trading Company) one size larger in the waist than I normally would, and that seems to be reasonably sufficient to conceal my diaper bulk. Is the bulk discernible and can I hear the crinkling of the diaper as I move around? Yes to both, but not to the extent that others are likely to notice, I hope. I've been in and out of diapers all my life and wearing 24/7 since 2006, and while I am discrete, I don't spend a lot of emotional energy worry about whether people are wondering if I'm wearing a diaper.

I wear Northshore GoSupreme pullups to work frequently, though not everyday. I have it on for about 10 hours. I put a half of a booster pad in near the front. I wear plastic pants over. Have not had any real problems with leaks. Just a couple of wet spots on occasion. I wear dark pants so it hasn't been noticeable at all.

Pull-ups would be a lot more comfortable, less bulky and less expensive than what I wear. Due to the severity of my OAB and urge incontinence, only a boosted, premium diaper works for me if I'm active, which I am most days. I probably could get by without the plastic pants, but got used to wearing them over those first generation, SAP-free adult diapers, that were so unreliable that plastic pants were a necessity. I still wear them in part out of habit, but they do add an extra layer of waterproofing and odor control as well as a bit of concealment.

What kind do you use? I tried some Priva pants and wasn’t impressed. They were also a little too big.

The velcro is a good idea. I most often wear InControl Elites to bed, which have the velcro/adhesive tabs, and I really like them. The Elites can be kind of bulky and noisy though.

The Duluth Ballroom jeans are some of my favs, and the denim is thick. Confidry is another one that I’m considering. I’ve tried them before and liked them. What plastic pants do you use?

I have a couple of the NS pull-ups that they sent as samples, but I never tried them. Which plastic pant do you recommend?

I wear the Gary pull-on plastic pants. For years I wore the pants with "exposed" elastic, assuming that the pants with "enclosed" elastic would not be as comfortable or healthy on the skin. When I did finally try plastic pants with enclosed elastic I was amazed at how comfortable they were, at least for me. The one thing I did notice was that since elastic stretches and plastic doesn't, I need to wear large plastic pants with enclosed elastic since the leg openings don't stretch well over my thighs in the medium, while while the exposed elastic, mediums are fine.

Not everyone likes ConfiDry, although I've had very good results. I might even be able to use them unboosted, but like the extra absorbency. I'm very active outside the home and office, so wet pants are not an option!

I've been curious about the Kleinert pants. Are they "plasticized" nylon like the SaniPant or Duramed pants...basically nylon fabric impregnated with plastic? It's textured on the outside but smooth on the inside.

I think so. I also have some plain cheap vinyl ones. The Kleinerts are cooler and more comfortable. They are pretty quiet also. If there is any background noise at all I can't hear them when I'm moving around. I bought one to try and liked it well enough that I bought two more pair.

My first plastic pants were like that...Salk's SaniPant, Duramed and Mark Clark. That was pretty much all there was back in the late eighties, and no internet so you had to locate and go to a medical supply business. A lot easier now with the internet. I don't think Gary Corporation was in business yet, although there were a couple of companies that did make "traditional" plastic pants...ProGarm and I-Pant I think was what they were called. One was flannel-lined and the other not.
