Technical Question Updater missing

The recent post section of the main screen is not running on my screen. I didn't know if it's happening to everyone else, so I thought I should ask about it.

I no longer have it either--or the blog posts, or the top-viewed threads. That whole panel is gone. On my phone now, so no screenshots. Perhaps later.

I turned it off. It was only working with HTTPS, and I could not figure out why.
Since I'm wanting to slim things down as we prepare to move to xenforo/IPB, I did not want to spend the time fixing it when it will be scrapped in a few months anyway.
