Under this standard, wearing a diaper is less of an exhibition than many swimsuits or gym clothes.

Utah ruling regarding a guy who was probably a bit stupid in showing off his diaper, results differently than I expected.

Courthouse News Service

I was kind of impressed when they stated that, "Under this standard, wearing a diaper is less of an exhibition than many swimsuits or gym clothes."

Makes me a little bit happy that utah could accept that idea, or the courts anyway. The guy is still a moron for giving a flyer to the girls among other things though.

Meh. The guy's an idiot. Doesn't tell you anything about 'normal' AB/DL behavior.

The courts decision was correct. It also illustrates why laws can't possibly (and shouldn't have to) cover every aspect of behavior. At some point shared standards, culture, morality, or whatever you wish to call it have to cover the gap.

Not sure what, if anything, should have been done to or about the guy. I would like to think that his long, expensive journey through the legal system convinced the guy that his brand of behavior is a really bad idea. Hopefully the girls didn't get dragged through it as well. Minus the legal ordeal, I imagine it was little more than a "EEEEEEEWWWW" moment for them. Soon forgotten, then remembered and giggled over from time to time in the future.

while I can agree with the courts findings, technically, I still find such behavior rather lewd. and yes, it does sound like deeker.
Elmo? really? that was disturbing enough

(Legal notes and stupid people aside)
I think that wearing a diaper is a little more of an exhibition than a swimsuit. In my opinion, this is mostly due to people's perceptions about the function of a diaper. Also, the idea of a "accepted" behavior plays some here, I'd fit in at the beach wearing a speedo, but not a diaper.

What the hell is this guy thinking passing around fliers of kids with diapers on and porn links? That just screams weirdo! Granted I understand the court's legal ruling, but the neighborhood that this dude was walking around should definitely keep an eye open for this creep.

The article says "sagging shorts". Of course when he gets around to dropping his shorts altogether, I think that would tend to remove all doubt. I would guess he wished to make a spectacle of himself and the Elmo print probably made it a bit more obvious.

He must have had them down so low they saw the tip of his diaper like how some men have their pants and are exposing their boxers.

More than likely, i am betting he was hoping people would see it, so he could pass out fliers about it, he was pretty much asking for it all.

I honestly don't find anything particularly positive to be taken from this court ruling for us, as I don't see the majority of AB/DLs (other than this dude) wanting to romp down the street in nothing but one, ever.

Sure I would!, if it were actually generally socially acceptable, which it isn't
and if my reputation and earnings wouldn't take a direct hit as a consequence of such, which it would.

so, at this time, no.

This is skuzzy.
Ick.
The judges' rationale makes sense and part of me is happy for it in case of unreasonable arrests for diaper wearing in public that isn't egregiously icky and pedo-ish like this guys'...

But I don't like what this does to our public image :/

Pardon me but what porn links are you referring to? Oh you must mean the sites like this one we are on right now that have portals or distantly related links like this one that you can easily find when you look up ADISC on line right? Do you see what I am getting at? I could theoretically be looking for sexual education classes online and you know as well as I do that there's going to be porn somehow related to those kinds of sites under the same Google heading but does it make that wrong of me to to try people about the subject? If someone was going to send out fliers about AB/DL's then how is it even possible to not have such links when you go online? Instead of keeping an eye on this guy maybe we should look in a mirror and see ourselves first so as to not rush to judgement to fast?

The fact that a place like Utah ruled in favor of a person is enough of a shock to me. Not to say Utah is full of cruel bastards, but last time I checked, almost everything in Utah is illegal 0_0

Honestly - whilst certainly the court's ruling about diapers covering you up better than *some* swim-gear, I still don't think a guy who does this deserves to walk free.

- Lowering his pants in front of children to expose his diaper
- giving out porn flyers that contain pictures of adults and CHILDREN wearing diapers - and giving that flyer to children.

For all I care anyone can wear a diaper - anywhere. but dropping your pants to show off your diaper in front of children... well serious no-go. And then handing them porn flyers....
I don't care much about the diaper - it's the whole act that just blows the lid. fucking pervert.

Simply put like this: if this be my kids... the guy would be eating through a tube for the next few weeks.
people like these make me rather angry

Don't even sugar coat this. The guy was passing out fliers with pics of kids in diapers on them while showing off his own diaper to obviously underage people. When I look in a mirror, I don't see myself doing that kind of behavior. I try not to be judgmental, but I cannot see how this person's actions can in any way be related to something I would do in private let alone public. As for the links, websites like ADISC don't allow children on for reasons pertaining to the fact that you mentioned where this is easily assumed to be a fetish and pornographic sites will be related. So with that in mind, this person should have realized that passing out these fliers is already in bad taste, and ESPECIALLY when it involves minors.

This guy isn't some caped crusader who's going to spread positive awareness of the ABDL community. And even if he was, we don't need someone like that. I don't know about you, but I enjoy my privacy and the ability to live my life without being put on blast for my personal desires and interests.

Now if this guy were in the privacy of his own home and people stumbled upon him wearing a diaper and he tried to explain by providing informative websites then I MIGHT feel more inclined to sympathize with him. But this guy went out of his way to walk around passing out fliers for this stuff and even exposed his diaper to those underage girls. Tell me something; if I were to walk up to two 9 year old girls as the adult male I am and pulled my pants down to show them what kind of underwear I was wearing, do you think that would be cause for concern? I certainly do, and it pisses me off if we're going to sit here and put this guy on a high horse because he was 'expressing himself' or whatever. Fuck that. What he did was completely inappropriate. Don't even sugar coat it by relating that to an average AB/DL.
